Plateau City is divided into 18 sections called Quarters. These quarters are geographic in nature only, except for the determining of taxes and the electing of public officials.
There is some argument as to whether the island containing The Cathedral of Truth is to be listed as a quarter or not. Officially it is not a quarter, in that it does not pay taxes nor vote to elect officials.
