CAEROLDRA

(Goddess of Love)

Priests’ Version

Realms of Responsibility

This goddess is the patron of everything that is lovely or beautiful. She is also the patron of the traditional female place in society. She believes in marriage as an institution for life. She hates marriages for convenience. Love should be the sole reason for marriage. She is the designer of godly and mortal fashion. Caeroldra counsels those who were born with natural beauty and helps them to be seen as more than just a sex object. Likewise, she helps those who were not born beautiful: teaching them to let their inner beauty shine. She dislikes ugly, brutish and pushy people. She punished adulterers. She refuses to help loyalty in the family. Therefore, she also patrons the community.

Duties of the Servant

Guidance.

Marriage.

Vigilance- Servants believe in marriages of love, not of convenience or politics, and so conspire to keep young lovers together when those lovers might be parted by their family’s wishes or by the prejudices and responsibilities of their social classes.

Mission-promoting love whenever possible-especially by removing obstacles to it; preventing divorce-by counseling the spouses into a reconciliation; solve unrequited love by any means possible to make the disinterested party fall in love with the more devout person; remove all hate from the world.

Strictures

Servants receive six-sided dice for hit points, not eight-sided. This is usually counter-balanced by the above mentioned liberality of temples of Caeroldra by their supplying of magical defense gadgets.

Servants must be married before reaching 8th level--to do otherwise is to deny Caeroldra her due, and constitutes a betrayal of all she stands for.

Servants must give 10% to the church.

Servants must give 10% to widows and orphans.

Servants must preach abstinence from sex until marriage.
