Three Bits' reaction or reactions as they are, take the crew of The Tide by surprise. Eisenhorne can pick up nothing with the Detect Thoughts spell. Her mind is completely closed.
As to what the sphere is, it is does not match any of the religious or famous arcane relics that Eisenhorne knows of. It could simply be a light source, or something far more.
Sharpe steps back into the main shop and from there onto the street. It is dark, deserted and relatively exposed from a host of sniper points. Like most of the back areas of this city.
Gaffer circles, finds nothing and lands again.
Dez hones in on the part on slavery. Some part of his past perhaps. The paladin is also reminded of his own dream, where Domi is gone. Could they be connected?
Sarge feels a sense of pity and finds an appropriate moment to cast Protection From Evil on Three Bits

Three Bits sits back as The Protection From Evil spell falls over her. She closes her eyes and then slowly opens them again. She takes those in the room into her gaze and chuckles. Did the spell
fail? Three Bits chuckles again. "Oh I knew you were a clever lot, but even so we have little time. "The others need to come in here." As she waits for Sharpe and Gaffer to enter, she glances at Eisenhorne and taps her chin.
A pratitioner of the arcane arts. Good, a field my friends have been lacking."

When all are in she touches the glass sphere and the light brightens slightly and the door slides shut.

"Listen closely.

Ralinsir is perverse, sadistic, smart and ruthless. He and his 4 associates, stay in the upper suites of the Arena when in town. They are the business end of the major slave trade network which uses Dirt City as a fodder point and sanctuary.
Ralinsir and his lot, are just as, if not more, dangerous than the hunters. Whom you just recently fought.
Ralinsir Himself is an Arcane Spell caster of no small measure. He is smart, shrewd and a cold blooded killer with power friends within the Houses and possibly the Prince
His 4 associates are Ythryn, a male elven cleric of Ga'al the direct superior of the Gaal cleric in the slave hunter squad.
Ardus, a Wemic Fighter. Feral, horrid and yet pitiful creature under the thumb of Ralinsir
Samuel CherryBlossum. Halfling Fighter sneaky, shifty raised on the streets of Dirt City and embodies the dark side of the city. He has ties to House Knife, Cloak and Wolf with powerful friends
Kaley Pythlewinkcle. A sadist gnome and mistress of Samual and well feared assassin.
They own an upper level suite within the Arena and with the fights of a day ago, is where they are now.

You will have to make your way to the 5th floor stair. It is magically barred and the password is currently Adistus. I have no information on what that means if it indeed means anything.
The hard part is the stairway guard, the doorman if you will. A magical construct that is programmed to recognize the owners of the suites on level 5 and to obey their commands. A disguise may work, but it might not. Sorry, you may have to negotiate with him the old fashioned way."

Three Bits closes here eyes, a trace of pain washing across her face.

"Time for you to go. Whether by spell or by voluntary actions now, a fog that is pushing at the back of my mind will consume me again in not too long. When that happens, Golden Eyes will know and I expect the reaction to be poor. But telling you is worth the price and perhaps will be enough."

"Go now. Rest, and prepare. Golden Eyes will not know exactly what I have said or whom I have told. Not until..." she trails off and then shakes her head. She nods to the door, which opens and she shoos you out.

Toston says, "Three Bits, I'm sorry I doubted you. We aren't a syndicate. Thank you for the information but I don't want the yellow eyes to harm you. If you can seek out Nissa and my people. They are taking precautions and they may be able to protect you, unless you think even the protections of a wizard, some warriors and the city below are no match for whatever stalks you. I wouldn't want to have my people's deaths on my conscience. If you are unsafe even there mayhap putting distance between yourself and here? My parents live in Plateau City. If you mentioned my name they'd put you up I'm sure of it."

Sharpe looks sympathetically at three bits. “best of luck….. Lady Bits”. He gives her a brief nod, slightly reddening at his choice of words.

“Well this woman was good enough to give us time to get outta here, I suggest we don’t waste it and hunker down whilst you guys come up with a plan.”

He moves closer to Eisenhorn and whispers, “if we ask this information broker anything about the houses, who knows who else will hear us….”

Sarge is uncharacteristically somber as they leave Three Bits' shop. "First up," she says, "I propose we rest and heal. I know we're on a clock, but it won't do any good to go charging over there and get ourselves killed."

Eisenhorn whispers back to Sharpe, [in Elvish] " Yeah... I don't trust this thing at all, just appears and provides us basically a hit list of people to target. I can't sense it's mind at all... like there is nothing there... in fact, let me try something." Eisenhorn then comes closer to three bits and tries to touch her to confirm that she is not just an illusion.

As the party leaves the house. "So what exatcly happened back there? You seemed almost intent on murdering this woman... then she rattles on about some people in the arena and now everyone seems intent on charging in there at the first opportunity and what? killing these people? on the words of some half mad information broker?" pauses for a second. "Even if you trust this Three Bits... She didn't seem all there, I couldn't sense her consciousness at all. Don't you think that someone may be acting through her and using us to basically wipe out their oposition? That seems like something the houses would do. Strike at their enemies through a supposedly neutral party, is it not? I say we spend some time verifying her story, figuring out who these people are, maybe even trying to understand who would benefit if they were suddenly disposed of."

"Sarge is right," Hmerrin declares as they leave Three Bits. "Back to the House. Then we can talk."

The young man drives a hard pace, not saying much of anything until the group is more or less safely back on the blood filled second floor of Shale House.

Taking seat around a large circular table, he regards Eisenhorne and Sharpe, and lets out a weary chuckle.

"So, hi. I'm Hmerrin.

We call ourselves The Tide, and for the last year or so have been doing our best to help the regular folks of Dirt City live to see the next day. Three Bits is an information broker who Toston especially has dealt with in the past, and we've found her information to be reliable even if she's not exactly the most trustworthy person around.

For the last several days, someone has been visiting our old haunts and destroying them. They broke into the WLA chapter house, and killed just about everyone in it. They burned down our old headquarters, along with the city block it was sitting in. They pillaged our former employer's business, killing a bunch of people. And then, they broke into here, and tried to kill us. Two of them are dead, and in the storage closet yonder."

Hmerrin waves an arm at a nearby door.

"The other three took off, and we weren't in much condition to do anything about it."

"During the fight, several of them were talking to one other and mentioned Three Bits, leading us to believe she might be responsible for this whole thing. Which is why we were rather put out when we were headed over there. Now, it looks like she's been dominated by something. Something with Golden Eyes, and producing a vision which just happens to EXACTLY match something Dez here saw while in his morning devotions."

"So, I for one, I'm inclined to believe these five Arena people she told us about are trying to kill us. And are going to go on trying until they succeed. And don't seem to care how many other people die while they're doing it. Making me think they are all really bad people, whom the Wold would be better off without. And lastly, they hopefully will be nice enough to tell us who this Golden Eyes character is, because I've a feeling he's gonna be a whole lot worse."

The lad sits back, and wipes his face.
"If you wanna split, I get it. But, if not, we could use the help."

The group listens to Three Bits and takes it all in. Eisenhorne has his dobhts though. Three Bits leans back from him as he gets closer, "Just keep your fingers to yourself mage. Your trust is not an issue here. Were you not with them, we wouldn't be having this conversation at all."
Toston offers his followers place as somewhere Three Bits might be able to lay low. Or perhaps she could simply get out of town all together. She smiles and for a moment you see her let down the very guarded facade you have always known.
"While I do not know the exact nature of Golden Eyes, I feel it would be futile and would indeed place your Nissa in terrible danger if not worse. I was able to keep some things from the fog, and that was one of those things. Perhaps Plat City would work. Good luck."

As the group exits, Three Bits takes a vial from her pocket and the door closes behind you.
The group exits and Hmerrin sets quickly for home. It seems even the night stalkers at this late hour are down for the night and the true quiet of the City envelopes you
Back at Shale House, Hmerrin catches Sharpe and Eisenhorne on the recent happenings. The Tide is a target by some powerful forces in the City and unlike the Houses, this force is quite direct

There are two bodies in the closet and a rather nasty dagger in a box wrapped in a cloak in the vault. Other than a cursory Detect Magic at the man formerly known as Terrafin, nothing has been done

It is about an hour before daybreak and most of you have been up for almost 24 hours at his point

"I'm so tired, I hardly care about guarding the door. I suppose we should have a plan, though, huh?" After they make plans, Desdichado goes up to his room, ready for some rest. "I wish Tombo was around," he says, "I wouldn't mind some of his cooking when I wake up."

"We gotta do something with these bodies first," Sarge says, "or they'll stink up the place."

She casts a Detect Magic, looking for auras, and also looking for anything on the bodies that might be valuable.

"I think we can just dump 'em in the street," she continues. "One advantage to living in Dirt City--people don't ask awkward questions about bodies."

If the group is agreeable, she helps carry out the bodies.

"Uh...Eisenhorn, is it? Are you by any chance able to cast Identify? We found this evil magic dagger, and I for one would really like to know what it is and what it does. And how to make it stop doing that."

There is, however, no hurry on the evil magic dagger, so Sarge will gladly rest first if that's what people prefer.

Gliding back into Shale House Gaffer slumps down in a chair a picks up the bottle he had been eyeing earlier.

If anyone is interacting with the dagger, Gaffer will begrudgingly stay up to see what happens, and be there if anyone falls under its sway, but he quickly heads off to bed once there is nothing immediate to deal with. Gladly getting out of his bloodied clothes and downing his glass before a much welcome sleep.

After listening to Hmerrin for a while. "Thank you my boy, I understand now... well not really but I do get the gist of it. We should try to learn more about this 'Golden Eye' thing." Eisenhorn tries to recollect if he's read of any creature or spell could do something like the mind control effects descirbed or if there were ever simmilar things like this happening in legends. ( Knowledge Arcana Roll: 19 + 26 = 45; Knowledge Planes Roll: 4 + 20 = 24; Knowledge History Roll: 5 + 11 = 16) Failing that he tries to work out where in the city he may be able to access any information on a subject liket his.

"I can indeed Madam Deepfroge, but we must take precautions so that we do not imperil ourselves during the investigation. Can we investigate the bodies first see if there are any markings or items of significance that may give us clues to their origins or motives." Eisenhorn pulls out a Wand of Protection from Evil and casts it on himself. After checking the bodies for any marks that may be recognizable or any items of note.

After finishing the investigation of the bodies, Eisenhorn goes to the dagger and recasts Protection from evil on himself using the wand, making sure that he has the spell up during the entirety of the interaction with the dagger, recasting as necessary. After the protection spell has taken hold properly, Eisenhorn takes the dager and using a Wand of Identify tries to understand how the item works, whether it has any command words and if it is possible to understand where it came from. ( Identify Roll: 8 + 19 + 10 = 37)

As Eisenhorn heads for the vault, Hmerrin grabs.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, easy there. Before you go picking up any daggers, this one has some kind of nasty personality in it, and it's already tried to dominate me twice. So, you're gonna want to be REALLY careful around that thing."

"It's the serpent eyed dagger, in the makeshift box, which is inside the rolled up blanket on the side table."

"Oh yeah, by the way, Toston. I borrowed your blanket."

The lad considers the various other questions.
"There's gotta be someplace to put the bodies....Toston?"
Hmerrin himself tries to recall where he seen such thing around town [Knowledge Local 19]

The group is in the Common room on the 2nd floor. Upstairs, the balcony doors and windows are busted in. The entry point for the assault that took place about 2 hours ago now. The second floor common room is a mess. Blood is splattered everywhere, the floor is scorched from the flaming spheres and 2 large settling pools of blood where Terrafin and the other combatant with the serpent dagger died. Plus the 2 paths of blood where the corpses were quickly dragged to the closet.
What to do with the actual bodies comes up, and without the ability to preserve them magically, Sarge suggests perhaps simply finding a nearby ally? Though after her morning devotions, she could easily prepare 2 spells and place them on the bodies in the closet.
First she casts Detect Magic and learns of the following items:
Magical Flail, Magical Cloak (Faint Abjuration), Magical Studded Leather Armor, Magical Composite Shortbow, Magical Kukri, Magical Cloak (Faint Illusion)

Eisenhorne puts his mind and notes to work on 'Golden Eyes'. It really is an all too vague of a concept or notion to pin it down, no beter than saying 'weird stuff' really. The notion of domination is pretty straight forward and does not lower the list of possibities much. It is clearly far more than a simple Charm or Suggestion. The way the old woman acted, it went beyond Dominate Person, as she implied a telepathic link beyond at the time sensory input. Whatever was out there, in this city, had a greater understanding and ability to control others than the wizard had ever even thought of.

Dirt City has no guilds per say, no library, or other collection of sagely help. The Woldian League of Adventurers, WLA, was itself an underground type of establishment, not wanting to draw too much attention and it was raided 5 days ago and everyone but a lone dwarf was killed. No there is no where to go for much in the realm of help and outside information right now.

Eisenhorne also inspect the bodies, take 20 Perception Terrafin has a set of tattoos on his upper right and left arm as well as his back. They appear to be counters, single lines in groups of 5 and totalling 96 with 2 of the tattoos made recently. He also had 200 in gold.
The other man, also human is found with a House tattoo upon his forearm. It designates that he was with House Dart, black operations and assassins. You also find 4 vials of poison, (2)Giant Wasp and (2)Large Scorpion.

Hmerrin gives a warning to Eisenhorne on messing with the dagger. The young fighter believes that, yes, the bodies could pretty easily be dropped into any number of allies. The closest, would be in The Burn.

Daylight is fast approaching and even Dirt City residents would give alarm to members of the Tide dumping bodies if seen.

Most of the group is looking for some sleep, Eisenhorne is readying to investigate the magical dagger.

All PC's are fatigued at this time, spell casters have not had necessary rest to regain spells. It is aproximately 430am

"This room is a mess and the bodies do need to be dealt with, but I suggest we all rest up and leave them for when we're in better shape." Gaffer suggests, "It's late... or early, for dropping off bodies. I'd worry about causing more trouble if we are caught now when we have a lot to deal with tomorrow."

If the party are happy to leave the bodies in the cupboard he will head to bed, and make cleaning the blood off the floor his first priority the next morning, not a task he is very used to.

"All right. I got a decent few hours of sleep during first shift, so I'll stay up for a few more hours, and try to tidy up a bit. Dez, once your good, relieve me, and I'll crash for a while. Gaffer, Toston, Sarge, get the rest you need to recover your spells. Sharpe and Eisenhorne...we're gonna need to shorten that...I'll think of something...whatever works best."

The lad will start in on the second floor with a bucket and a mop to clean up.

Time permitting, he'll head upstairs and evaluate repairs.

"Not sure if it makes sense to do the speaks with dead for tomorrow but maybe the bodies can tell us something useful about the yellow eyes or something."

The gnome yawns and then says, "I think I'm for bed myself."

After getting some rest, Desdichado tells Hmerrin to go get some rest, and works on cleaning up the aftermath of the battle.

"Oh, sure - feel free to take one of the empty rooms - both of you" (I think the rooms starting in the upper left at AB:9, and starting at upper left AU: 17 are both empty.)

After investigating the dagger, Eisenhorn informs everyone who is still awake of his findings.

"I don't know about the rest of you but at this point I could really use a quick nap. I think it is sensible to take some precautions though as this place does not feel safe. Please come with me." Eisenhorn rummages around the house trying to find the most secluded place in the house and casts Rope Trick and attempts to hide the rope and portal as best as possible. Then climbs inside asking shifty to keep an eye out while he sleeps.

Hmerrin had gotten some sleep and decides to stay up on watch and start working on the mess on teh second floor
Dez lets Sharpe and Eisenhorne that they can have any of the empty rooms on the second floor and he goes to bed
Toston and Sarge head for bed and Gaffer as well

Eisenhorne casts Protection from Evil and heads into the Vault on the 3rd floor. The wizard enters and easily finds the box. Unwrapping it, he opens it and finds his mind assaulted

Eisenhorn feels the urge to run to get away, but suddenly realizes that these are not his thoughts he's under attack. (Will Save Roll: 9 + 9 + 4 = 22) "NO! Stop that! Bad Dagger!" he yells, as he deftly twists his wrist to avoid the snake bite. He quickly puts the dagger back in the box, confounded by the dagger's abilities yet no sign of magic being present. Could this be a living creature? If so where would it come from? (Knowledge Nature: 14 + 20 = 34)

Feeling tired he looks around the house to find an obscured location to cast Rope Trick, settling on the 2nd Floor Storage room as the most secure location he begins casting the spell and realizes that he doesn't have any rope to cast it on. Exhausted, he lays down in a corner of the room (AL:24), his mind racing to find answers to how house Dart might be involved, and falls asleep for a couple of hours, while Shifty keeps watch.

The lad dutifully mops up the second floor, and has it in good shape by the time Dez comes looking for him.

Then, its upstairs for a quick evaluation of the state of the place, before heading back to his room, stripping off his armor, and crashing hard.

Desdichado cleans up what's left of the mess after Hmerrin goes to get some sleep. He then checks upstairs on the 3rd floor, remembering that they must have broken in through one of the windows, and begins cleaning up there as well.

In the morning he helps finish any cleaning that is needed, preparing his spells, expecting direct combat this day, and sets about to remove all of the burn marks he caused in Shale house the night before.

For anything else, he is expecting.a direct and aggressive approach from the party and prepares for as such. After all else that has happened, finally they have a target, an enemy, and certainly enough drive to go after them.

Eisenhorn is intragued by the snake's ability to implant strong suggestions in a persons mind at a distance, but is too tired to pursue the matter further. Now, how to start to take the fight to Golden Eyes?
Eisenhorne sums up his encounter with the serpent dagger. Gaffer can confirm that there is no natural creature that even do that a little bit.
One of them was associated with House Dart. Is that an avenue to pursue? Unfortunately Magical Construct is a pretty broad category, however is does imply a few things;
Immunity to all mind-affecting effects
Immunity to bleed, disease, death effects, necromancy effects, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning
It does not eat, sleep or breathe
It has Low light and darkvision

"However! I think a direct assault may not be the wisest course of action. Better to see what House Dart knows, maybe they can provide us some potential weaknesses of their defences. Alternatively given their specialty we might be able to hire them to watch this Ralsiner, wait till he leaves the arena and then make our move. If we learn more of him and his organisation we may even be able to stage something that would lure him out of the safety of the arena."

Sharpe goes through what he is hearing out loud and isn’t a big fan, either is Eisenhorne. The group provides a bit more background:
About 6 months ago, The Tide was asked to go after a pair of fugitives from House Knife and House Teeth. The two were accused of being part of a weapons selling conspiracy supplying both side of the underwater war between Sahaguin and Merfolk and putting Dirt City in the crosshairs. They went on to kill several members of their own houses, stole and made off into the hills. The Party was to bring them in and did so. But in the final battle things became strange. There were two others as well. Both died in the fighting, Both Men of the Houses however acted without emotion without felling pain or anger or anything. Upon capture and the influence of a Protection from Evil spell, they seemed to come out of a fog. Both men having the same tale, “there was a run down shack, with trees, I remember a cool breeze. It was late. A small room, still. Cold. The smell of blood and death. Soft fur, blood, begging, crying, pleading. A soft chuckle and golden eyes in the shadows."

Upon returning the group stated to ask around, at the WLA, at the CMTC, the docks and the temple of Warrd. Now, two of those places are effectively gone. The last known residence of The tide was burned to the ground and Shale House was hit. Three Bits told a similar tale of the men from house Knife and Wolf and now a man from House Dart lies dead in the closet along with a man known to be working for one of THE slavers of Dirt City. According to Three Bits at least. Lying in a box in the vault is a serpent that appears capable of controlling people. It apparently seized control of Terrafin in the end and tried to take Hmerrin and Eisenhorne and here we are

Eisenhorne is not a fan of the direct assault upon the arenas uppermost floor, but would like to perhaps do some scouting.
A tact Hmerrin and the group, he points out, does not usually take, but he’s willing to let the others give it a try.
Talking to House Dart, House of assassins, about the assassin lying dead in the closet comes up. How do you wish to go about it? No one in The Tide have even a neutral connection to House Dart

Golems tend to not have any intelligence, they are programmed and if the construct is indeed a golem, it will be impervious to nearly all magic

The idea of perhaps luring out Ralsiner is also broached. Could the group do that somehow? Could Sharpe and Eisenhorne pose as bounty hunters bringing in The Tide? Is there a public bounty for The Tide?

"I'm not very good with disguises, and besides if they were controlling this man's mind a simple disguise may not be sufficient." Eisenhorn scratches Shifty's head distractedly while thinking of how to approach the problem. Sahaguin...Merfolk... there seems to be a deeper game afoot. Rushing in could prove disastrous.

" Madame Deepforge, could you perform that ghastly trick again? Ask our Dart friend here, wether he was sent by house dart or was freelancing for this Ralsiner? Also ask him how would we go about contacting house dart if we were in need of their services? Do we have any other contacts in the city that might provide us information on this Ralsiner?" Eisenhorn looks outside trying to judge what time it is. " In any case I don't think we have time to waste...these people seem to have significant resources and a serious vendetta against the Tide. I propose that myself, Sharpe and Gaffer go to scout out around the arena see what we can find, maybe talk to some of the locals see if there is any sort of bounty for the Tide. As it is not known that we are affiliated with the Tide we should escape notice and Gaffer can use his talents to blend in. The others can try to establish a channel of communication with house dart or potentially see if any other sources may have information on Ralsiner. We can meet up back here tonight to plan our next steps, once we have some more information on the threat we are facing." Eisenhorn scans the room to see if people are on board with the proposed course of action.

The group comes to the first part of a plan. Eisenhorne, Sharpe and Gaffer would go to the arena and see what they can learn about getting to the upper floors. Specifically the 5th floor, where Three Bits indicated Ralsiner keeps a suite of rooms.

In the meantime, Sarge is asked if she would question the Dart House assassin. As to information on Ralsiner, Three Bits provided some. He is a highly trained and accomplished arcane spell caster. He runs the largest slaving operation in Dirt City and has influence to Emerald and Plateau City. He is smart, cruel and has a tight group of associates with him at nearly all times. A suite of rooms at the highest level of the Arena as where he stays when he is in town also means, he is tremendously wealthy

Sarge casts Speak with Dead and the corpse identified as DeathWalker by Terraifn bolts upright. It looks to Sarge and screams "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" it then topples over again.

The two men and Gaffer in the shape of (something not a hawk) make their way to the arena. About a 30 minute walk through the late morning streets. Vendors selling mostly food items are all over the outdoor plaza hocking their wares. Memorabelia booths with puppets, marionettes, literature and personal keepsakes claimed to be from the victors are easily found as well. Getting into the arena is easily accomplished with 1gp, the cost of admission. From there, you make your way without trouble throughout the first 3 floors. Seats, benches and more vendors are about. From the open air sections of the 3rd floor, you can see the enclosed 4th and 5th floors. Great panes of glass reflect light and prevent you from seeing through them to the rooms beyond, but you do note a few 4th floor open air balconies. At this time, no one seems to be in them, but there is no match going on right now. The first starts in about 30 minutes

Keeping his head low Sharpe looks around at the balconies taking note of which seem prepared for spectators, for guards, their numbers and professionalism. Finally he looks for stairways to the upper floors.

He whispers "So I could definitely climb up to to those balcony's but i'm likely to be spotted in a busy arena. I should go speak to some patrons find out what they know about the upper floors, there is bound to be gambling etc going on."

Whispering back to Sharpe [in Elvish]: " I can make you invisible which would help in getting there unseen, but let me see if I can get any reconnaissance done by arcane means before you go into the lions den. In the meantime you can see what the people around here know... maybe they've seen this Ralsiner comming and going, if we can establish a pattern maybe we can ambush him."

Eisenhorn tries to find a secluded location with a view of the 4th level balconies and begins the 10min ritual to cast Arcane Eye on the balcony. Once the Eye is summoned he directs it to move through the rooms trying to find a way up to the 5th floor, making a note of the layout in his mind. Once on the 5th floor he tries to find Ralsiner's suite, while carfully studying any areas which would be suitable to teleport into if the need arises. He also makes note of any guards or the construct mentioned.

If the eye is able to make it's way to the appartments, Eisenhorn tries to note the number and location of any inhabitants as well as trying to find any documents that that outline Ralnisers connection to the Sahaguin or anything that provides more details on his slave trading business e.g. number of slaves, where they are kept, who are his major buyers, when is the next major sale going down, basically anything that could be used to disrupt his business. (Perception Roll: 20 + 10 = 30)

As he's doing this Eisenhorn also tries to remember if Slavery is illegal in Dirt City. (Knowledge (Local) Roll: 16 + 11 = 27)

Gaffer wildshapes into a small thrush, flitting his way across the city to the arena, with Sharpe and Eisenhorne down bellow.

In-between perching on nearby buildings, swooping down as if for food, Gaffer searches around the upper floors of Ralsiner's building (Perception: 26) taking care to looks through the balconies as he passes by, but making sure not to land on any.

At Shale House Sarge lets the group know that sometimes the soul of the departed can resist Speak with Dead It happens, nothing to freak out about. Having gotten all of the information and no longer needed items, what to do with them now? Dirt City does have morticians and the temple of Waard would also be a good place for an up and up type person to take a deceased individual. A cart, some blankets, and it would not be much of a problem. Or you could probably send word and coin and have them picked up

At the Arena, while the 4th floor has a few open air balconies the 5th does not. The entire uppermost level of the arena has no external entrances, nor are any of the windows, and there are not many, allow those on the outside to see inside.
Sharpe mentions trying to scale up to the balconies, without rope and a hook, it would be difficult. the 4th floor extends over the 3rd to provide protection from the elements and of course without being invisible, Sharpe would be quite seen by the hundreds of people here.
The Arena is rather busy, but Eisenhorne does manage to locate a place he thinks he can cast his spell and luck is with him as the only couple that strolls by, pays him no mind. The location for casting the spell without a very good chance of being interfered with is not within sight of a balcony. But, Eisenhorne only needs about a minute to navigate the eye down a hall, into the palisades, out and up to a balcony. The 4th floor of the oval shaped arena, has 12 balconies spaced about, like the numbers of a clock. It will take nearly the entirety of the spell to circumnavigate the arena and give each balcony a look. Spinning in place, however allows for a much quicker, but not as detailed check.
Gaffer flits about and finds there are other birds, sparrows, thrushes, boobies and such that make their homes here and nearby. The open aired floors have plenty of small birds hopping about the ground or twittering from a ledge and so he blends in like nothing else could. His swoops past balconies allows him to note that nearly all are set for guests and he spies a couple servants at the 4 oclock balcony and a women in fine clothes passes an open door to the 7 oclock balcony

Desdichado offers to take the bodies to the temple of Waard. "It's probably best for us to keep this between as few people as possible. If we asked for a retrieval, who knows who else might hear about it."

Eisenhorn moves the eye inside the 4th floor and tries to look for stairs or other entrance to the 5th floor, making a note of the general layout as he does so.

Sharpe tells Eisenhorn to continue his his scouting "If you find anything of we need to look into let me know, i have a grapple and can get to the 4th floor is you can make me invisible."

He then sets off and looks for a bar, he orders 2 a drinks and starts to walk around the arena as if looking for someone, all the while listening for any interesting conversation and looking for anyone looks like they may frequent this place or have access to the upper floors. After a lap he sits somewhere, put the second drink across from him as if waiting for someone and and continues to listen. (if he hears anything interesting he does this near them.)

Gaffer wonderss if the group could pose as servents to get inside Ralsin's area of the buiding. We watches over the workers to get an idea of their comings and goings over an hour or so.
He doesn't forget to keep an eye out for Sharpe and Eisenhorn, in case they run into any trouble.

The group at Shale House decides to take the bodies to the Waard temple. The next step would be how. You can sling them over your shoulder, head to the docks or somewhere else to possibly get a horse and cart or see if Waard will come to you or some other method

Eisenhorne moves the Eye back inside the 3rd floor and sets it off to find an entrance to the 4th. The Eye is able to locate a door, open, with a man standing just to the side. He is unarmed and wearing what would be described as uniform. The eye slides past, up a short double flight of steps and into a much nicer looking interior hall. The Hall curves left and right and almost certainly creates a loop around the 4th floor. The floor is tiled, Everburning torches in glass cases decorate both walls at 20' intervals on either side. Not have much time left, Eisen sends the to the right. 90' later it passes a closed door. Just outside is a small table and Eisenhorne has noted several decorative pictures.

Another 90' is another door to what would be the interior side of the arena. As the eye continues, it is 180' before the next set of doors, which themselves are 90' apart. Eisinehorne also spies a stair back down to the third level and shortly before the spell ends, he sees a 2 individuals heading towards him. One is an elf, the other human, dressed well and speaking with each other in some small talk as they walk. Each has a small tray of food. One stops at a door as the other continues, the spell ends....
