ooc: Sorry. He cast shillelagh.

The minotaur throws two more stones at you while you are casting, but both of them go wide. Your spell is cast, and lands on him like a gentle cloud. In a few seconds he looks like he's been on a three day wine bender. His vision loses focus, his jaw slacks, and his head tilts to one side.

Sesha grins.

She casts Deep Slumber again, fully expecting the minotaur to sleep, now that his will has been hampered.

The minotaur races toward the river. You follow along, guiding your broom with your knees. You complete your spell, and he falls face-forward into the soft grass. He snores soundly.

Sesha lands near the minotaur. She takes a quick look around to make sure the brief battle didn't attract any other tributes. (Perception 29).

Assuming none, (and effectively out of combat for the next 10 minutes), she gingerly lifts the club and frowns at it. It wouldn't be magical, if it were, Shillelagh would not have affected it. She tosses it aside.

"Better to be quick about it. Sorry dear friend, but a Druid has far too much willpower for my liking."

(Dear DM. Sesha is casting two spells, per my understanding of Sleep, only slapping or wounding wakes the target. If you disagree, please skip the first spell, Bestow Curse.)

First she gently touches the Minotaur, cursing it to suffer minus 4 on will saves. (It's helpless, so it treats all spells as willing. If DM disagrees, Will Save DC 19 (at -10)

Second, she casts Bull Strength, raising her physical power.

Then she casts Beast Shape II, taking the form of a large reptilian creature, known as Arsinoitherium scientifically, but generally referred to as a Mega Rhinoceros.

She snuffles the sleeping Taur for a moment, then makes a decision. She rises on her back legs, then drops heavily, crushing and impaling the Minotaur with her dual horns.

Bestow Curse: 4 to Fortitude Save against instant Death.
Bull Strength: +4 enhancement to Strength.
Beast Shape IV: Large Megafauna. +4 Size to Strength, +4 Natural Armor, - 2 Dex. No slot expended.

Coup De Grace: Auto Hit, Auto Crit. Victim must Fortitude save DC damage dealt + 10 or die.

Damage: 4d8+3 = 15 + (Crit) 4d8+3 = 17 = 32.

Fortitude DC 42 or die.

Your horns impale the minotaur in his gut and chest. He wakes from sleep with a staggered scream, his lungs mostly deflated. A red bubble of viscous blood pops from his mouth, and he goes limp.

With jarring suddenness, a moaning shriek erupts from the sky, seeming to come out of thin air. The noise sounds five times, echoing out across the gamezone. A polite, crisp female voice speaks in gigantic tones. ”Attention please. Attention please. Tributes, we are pleased to announce the valiant sacrifice of Tribute Baz, who has fallen to Tribute Sesha. Their names will be honored and remembered. May the odds be ever in your favor.”

Sesha looks down at the bloody corpse and lets the polymorph slide away.

"I pity you Tribute Baz, and at the same time, envy you. You never knew the suffocating embrace of the most loving of lords, our father Ga'al. Maybe someone here can do for me what I've done for you?"

She isn't expecting much, given the nature of the Games, but she searches it for possessions.

A strong feeling of dissatisfaction washes over her.

"You forgot about me Sesha. You promised I would taste blood."

Sesha giggles, and pats Stab-Stab reassuringly. "You will, my friend. I promised, after all."

Baz was likely her westernmost opponent. It might be time to start in towards the middle. She tries to get a feel for the time of day.

It is still mid-morning. As you continue flying above the lands of the gamezone, the grasslands give way to temperate forests. The canopy reaches green fingers just under your feet as you soar through the air. You see no creatures or tributes.

"And now you are down to 10. You had better find me blood, Sesha."

Sesha grins. She would, and more. But for now, finding more tributes was what she needed to do.

She continues flying southwest.

To the north of you is a large patch, several acres in fact, of webbing blanketing the ground. It tramples down the grass and has strings of gossamer waving in the wind. Several horse-sized black shapes patrol the area, with many legs and many eyes.

Sesha closes the gap between herself and the spiders, just a little. She maintains about 120ft in distance. As she gets closer, she tries to figure out a few things.

How many are there?

Are they typical spiders? Know Nature 21. (Take 10)

Are they magical spiders? Know Arcana 24. (Take 10)

Finally, she casts Blink.

You fly over and hover 120 feet away from the spiders. By all of your knowledge and experience, they appear to be your average horse-sized giant spiders. They take note of you and chitter with excitement at the prospect of a meal. Several of them congregate just below you -- their mandibles making excited chirping noises as they watch your every move.

By your count, there are 8 giant spiders. Three of them are directly beneath you. Two are 80 feet away. Three are 120 feet away. All of them are aware of your presence.

Eight Spiders against her, a broom, and a blink spell. Worse, they were mostly immune to her charms. She marks the spot on her map, and bids the bag farewell, continuing south west on her broom.

As you dip beneath the forest canopy, thirty feet above the ground, you continue to follow the trail of the other tribute. You can see that the tracks are booted and about your size. They continue through the forest for a time before you see them end -- at a yawning portal of darkness. A cave mouth opens in a rock-face, leading down and forward at a steep pitch.

What sort of tracks were they, that she had been following?

The tracks appear to be humanoid, booted, and about your size. Too big for a halfling or gnome. Just one pair. Slightly slender, so perhaps an elf or a human female.

The ceiling of the cave dips to just 8 feet, forcing you to fly almost touching the ground if you wish to stay aloft. The tunnel is pitch black, and continues in a straight line as you progress. No sign of tributes or monsters. A few stalagmites and stalactites can be seen, as well as the drip drop of water. You do not see any tracks on the bare rock floor, but then again... there's nowhere to go but forward.
