Once again, the Renewal Ceremony for the Sentinel

As Sedar looks at the packet that Bill handed him, and as Arien, Arissa, Rond, Draax and Ahkum gather around K'isst's still and prone body, wondering what they should all do next and trying to decide if there might have been another way of handling what just occurred, everything goes black, not dark, but black. No one has any sensations of feeling, or movement. Not a sound can be heard and there are no smells in the air either. Just as suddenly. Everything is back to normal. Well sort of. The sun is much lower in the sky, as if it were early morning and you find yourselves at the sentinel field as if awaiting something. Galahad's, Borbo's, and Branze's bodies are no where to be seen. For that matter there are no dead bodies to be seen anywhere. In fact as you look around you realize that K'isst is standing right next to you, looking around as well.

The sentinel hill is clear and covered with green grass. The air is clear and the morning is fresh. From behind you hear the sound of something falling and hitting the sand.

DM Kent (The Inn - Leave Taking)
As Bill starts to make his way to the private room with his new friends, he feels a very odd sensation. Almost as if something is tugging at his mind. After trying to shrug it off, Bill decides to let his mind try and track down the tug and as he does he finds himself hurtling through the darkness. The sensation is not unlike his previous teleports but something is different. Things just don't feel quite right. After several moments longer than any teleport should take, he finds himself falling out of the sky two feet above the sand and facing the backs of his comrades. As he lands he hears a faint voice in the back recesses of his mind saying, "Ware the Surf," and then it is gone.

The sounds of concerned voices are heard as if they were coming toward the sentinel fields from town.

*"Oof!"* says the hobbit as he lands. Hands and knees in the sand, he listens. "Time change. Don't tell me. He got the Ring." Filing away much for later pondering, Bill stands up, dusts off his hands, and looks in the direction of the concerned voices. "Ceremony of Renewel now." He takes the spear gun from off his hip, inserts arrow, cocks it. "But first, beware the surf, friends! Let's defend our Sentinel together! Someone stay right with the Sentinel!" Bill runs to the edge of the water, looks, and quietly eases in, aiming and swimming ahead a little, looking around.

In the scroll case Sedar finds an oiled parchment with writing and drawings, plus a shiny gold coin. He may recall that Bill found the parchment on the body of one of the men lying where the first giant crab attacked the party on the Isle of the Temple of Sekola.

"I was dead." Everyone rushes into action as if nothing has ever happened. "I was dead!" Kisst stands in shock. Everyone runs off. "I was dead!" She slaps herself several times and shakes her head. "At least I felt that." Then she runs after the others. "We have to do something different this time! Have to....Got it! When she arrives at the head, she says, "Arrisa, Sedar! Help me get the head off. We're going to push it away from the beach. Hurry!" With their help, Kisst removes the head and begins pushing it toward town.

Arrisa turns around and chuckles slightly. "Yes, yes, you were dead. Well, it seemed that you were dead.". Arrisa follows Kisst and assists with moving the head back to the town.

Draax stands at the head and just stares at everyone. He remember walking back to the head, everything going black, and then standing at the head with all his comrades including K’isst who he knew to be dead. He thought that he was confused before, now he is totally confused. "This must be a dream or someone is playing a terrible joke." As the other move the head or goes toward the water, Draax just stands where he appeared not doing anything.

"Draax! Wake up! We'll figure this all out later. Guard our back! Don't let the Sahuagin get to us. And...Oh holy gods! The people! Forget all that Draax. We've got to get the people of the town away from the shore, if this is truly a replay of time. "Hey townsfolk. We're about to be attacked by Sahuagin who will try to take the Head. Run back to town! Whoever's in charge of the militia, stay here and drive the Sahuagin back!" K'isst turns to Arrisa. "I've got the head started now. The townsfolk can help me. Go help stop the Sahuagin if you will. I"ll return as I can. K'isst tries to enlist the help of some townsfolk to help her with the head.

"Yes, alive, sort of. Yes, I will have to remember that." Responding to Kisst " Why can't we get the ceremony of renewel started now, with us, and maybe the militia defending." Rond then looks around to see if he close enough to town to be heard. If he is, he bellows for Marek.

Bill, Arien and Sedar start for the beach and the defense of the sentinel head, K'isst finishes slapping herself and rushes to get the Head, with the help of Arrisa and Arien. The voices that were previously heard are now more clear and are coming from several very obvious sources. For coming around the bend and entering the ceremony grounds are none other than Berik Andovan, Sidon Bearclaw and his daughter, Mary, Hiram Veril, Hansina Wildflower and Logan Ironhand. When you are seen, Capt. Bearclaw rushes forward exclaiming, "I knew you would already be here, but some of these naysayers were sure that you had left after the incident at the carnival last night. I knew that you wouldn't leave until after the renewal ceremony, knowing how important it is to ...." As K'isst starts to make her assault on the head Bearclaw stops in mid sentence with a look of confusion on his face. As he and the others start hearing all the comments about a Sahuagin attack, there is a look of concern on the leaders' faces and a bit of panic starts setting in on those that immediately follow. The two clerics step forward and join the Bearclaws and with two quiet words "Calm Down." most of those around them do so. K'isst, Arrisa, Rond and Draax, save vs spell please.

OOC - One Save vs Spell *makes mental note not to follow Jerry again...*

IC: Arrisa looks around at all of the people, she doesn't recognise them and so just blinks. When told to calm down, she stops in her tracks and takes a deep breath. "So, he did keep his word...". Arrisa looks up to the captain and smiles slightly. "Ready for the ceremony? What do we have to do?"

As K'isst yells for Draax to wake up, he just turns and stares at her. "This is wrong, this cannot be happening. Wake up? That's it I must be asleep. Yes, I am asleep and this is only a dream." He hears the words calm down and becomes very calm. He still does not know what has happened and what is real or imaginary, but it does not seem to bother him any more.

After looking underwater and seeing nothing in particular, other than a flounder he stepped on, kicking up a light cloud of fine sand, Bill backs out, and says, "I don't see anybody yet. Oh, hi everyone!" Bill steps forward, and greets some of the townfolk. "Captain Bearclaw! Don't have time to go into it now, but someone wants to stop the ceremony. Sources say Sahuagin - you know, sea devils. It must go through. Ropes, nets, arrows: we need them here. Militia, and some to guard as the ceremony is performed. This may sound like a silly question, but what is today's date?"

Receiving the answer, he nods his head. As he passes by K'isst, Arrisa and Arien, he quietly mentions, "We were told they would not be aware of the passage of time ... if it has now indeed passed! I was worried about you, K'isst, when I left. Good to see you're okay." He puts his right hand around her forearm, and gives a light squeeze.

Bill returns near to the water's edge, and slips in. He watches for any anomalies in the movement of plants, any spots where the sand is being depressed.

Making it to the water edge by the Head he stands still to wait. ..... thinking about the items that Atomos had given them as gifts he checks for the magic items in his care ! ? ! .... "see anything yet Bill T !" as he moves to stand next to the head.

Kisst (fails save) immediately calms down (wondering what spell this is) and takes a seat amongst the audience. "Yeah Bill, seems I was dead, but maybe not. I'm not sure. See I've had this spell of calming cast on me and I feel much better. Thanks guys. I"m gonna sit here and enjoy the show, okay? Should we like sing some hymns or something?"

Feel free to post some test posts to try the place out. It's easy for Kent or I to edit them out in a few days. Give the place a good testing out. If you have any problems, email me. We want to find any bugs that may be in the programming. Once everyone has posted successfully a few times, we'll consider it a success and move the rest of the games. :)

K'isst content for the first time in a long time, sits and watches the wonderful morning with the waves on the sea. She wonders to herself how mad she'll be when this spell wears off and she is allowed to express her true feelings. However, for now, all is nice and peaceful. Callllmmmmmm.

Bill's examination of the underwater scene is interrupted as what K'isst just said to him sinks in. If he perceives nothing out of the ordinary underwater, Bill withdraws from the water, walks back to K'isst, and says, "You were WHAT?"

Watching Bill come back out the water, the 1/2 elf stands quietly by the head, awaiting the expected attack. An annoyed expression comes to his face, as he thinks the evil one has got the best of him THIS time. Then his curiosity piques as he listens to what Draax has to say. "Interesting idea you have there, why wouldn't they have returned if it was some sort of time displacement. Maybe it was all just an illusion."

Hiram Veil listens and then starts waving everyone to their places for the ceremony. As Hasina Wildflower approaches K'isst and the others She looks her strait in the eyes and says I do so appologize about the spell we cast, however we need not have any panic at this point. Now that we understand what you think is ging to happen we can take precautions.

As the towns people get into their places and the town leaders get ready to start the renewal ceremony, a small group of 12 armed militia men start posting themselves along the beachhead.

As Sedar and Arien remain watchful and scanning the surf areas where the dual attacks came from before Sedar sees an area of surf that is being disturbed but sees nothing making the disturbance. At the same time, Arien and two of the guards sees 8 sea devils exiting the surf opposite of where Sedar see his disturbance.

"I don't think that many guards will do the trick. Last time they killed lots of folk and stole the head there. That's why I tried to carry it away from shore. To keep it from danger. But, no worries. This is such a lovely day."

Arrisa simply shakes her head. She didn't know of the previous attack, she wasn't there. She didn't know what to say. Eventually, she spoke quietly to Hiram. "It seems the head will be under attack from Sea Devils.". Arrisa turns and spots the 8 emerge from the water. "...and it seems we were right."

"Ah, K'isst, I am so sorry you died, and am so glad you are alive." He hears the disturbance, and notes his friend's passivity. Since she is sitting down, and he can reach her face, he tenderly touches her right cheek. "K'isst, you are wonderful." He pulls his hand back. "So, sorry about this." He slaps her soundly. "Now, help us save the Head!"

Bill runs toward the disturbance, scooping sand in his right hand to toss in the empty air ahead of him. "Several are invisible. Throw sand to see where they are! Guard the head at all costs!" If he discerns an invisible figure, he immediately fires his speargun at the sandy outline (AC 2 for 1 hp of damage).

Seeing the disturbance. The 1/2 elf leaps forward a step, shouting out "there ... right there. see it ... there something in the water ..." pointing to emphasize the area. His weapons leap from there scabbards as he cautious begins stepping towards the water. Needing to get a better look. Thinking to himself 'could we really have to go through this again ... Wardd, wiil you be with me this time. ... With better luck this time I hope.'

Hearing the shouts of his comrades, Draax draws his weapon and gets ready for the attack. He knows that he should be excited and rushing to the battle, but for some reason he calmly waits for the battle to reach him. He looks up at the sky. " Yes, this is a lovely day for a fight."

Seeing the Sahuagin emerge from the sea Arien snaps into action. Grabbing his bow he finds some nearby cover and launches a pair of arrows at one of the Sea Devils. (AC 6 and AC 2)

(OOC: Well I found out that having your ISP being struck by lightning is a "Bad Thing" so they were offline for quite awhile replacing fried equipment but they are back and I am too.)

Kisst continues to watch the approaching conflict in a detached manner almost just a spectator. "I'd be much more useful if I wasn't so calm. Really. It's true. But then I'd probably be mad for being spelled. Yes, I think I'm truly going to be mad about that. Ah well. Peaceful though. Se that bird over there. It's pretty color of purple, don't you think?"

Hasina Wildflower spins and watches the commotion that is arriving on the beach and the lassitude that seems to be affecting K'isst and several of the members of the Hamleteers and with a audible "Oh Dear," releases the spell she helped cast. Moments later she starts chanting again.

Arien's arrows find their mark as does Bill's sand and spear and the previously silent Sea devils let out a mighty roar and charge the beach and the waiting foes.

Bill's hairy toes kick up a spray of sand before him. Applying his (nwp) skill at throwing to help his chances to hit (+1), he lets loose four of his non-magical darts. He hits AC 8, 3, -4, 3 for 2, 3, 2, and 3 hp damage (focused on one sahuagin). Bill backs up in the direction of the Sentinel (with missile fighting style, can move up to half movement and get in full missile attacks... but is only moving 1/4 movement, due to kicking up sand). He intends to waft his darts past the first line of fighters, if possible.

As if coming out of a Dream, Draax realizes what is going on. He gives Hasina Wildflower a look that clearly states that he is not pleased with her. He drops his sword and shield and raises his bow looking toward the sea devils advancing on the guards and take aim at S7. (Natural 20 max dmg, AC 5 dmg1, and AC 1 dmg3, total dmg 12 )

Arrisa turns and spots the Sea Devils approaching from the other side. She also notices that there are more people on her side than the other. Without a second thought, she charges over to S4, swinging at it with her staff. (Hit AC 7, Dam=5+4, Total Dam=9)

Watching the foot steps in the sand come closer he awaits (Is4) his prey.. Sword and dagger glint in the sun as the mage sins into an attack. The dagger finding its mark (hits ac , 3 pts dam). Shouting "invisible seaDevils over here ! " knowing he must but some time until the guards can defend the head.

Kisst spins on the priest called Wildflower and scolds her saying, "You may have just cost everyone here their lives! Now, do something useful and help me!" She runs toward the head. As she runs, she continues to explain. "See we have all been through this before. Some kind of repeating time thing. Last time, these Sea Devils stole the head. This time, there's not going to be a head for them to find. Help me lift this thing off. If it's not here they can't steal it!" Kisst pretty much forces the priest to do her bidding. Once the head is removed, she begins pushing it for what seems like the 50th time in a few days, down the path toward town. She yells at the townsfolk to fight if they can and run helping he protect the head if they can't. She has this determined look about her as if she just might horribly maim someone if they disobey her....and she might. She is furious. Under her breath, she says, "Donyra, you're going to have to answer for this. You should not have left these people to die. The sea is yours. You could have warned them. You could have stopped them. Unless you wanted them.....oh wow."

As the sea devils pour on shore, Capt. and Mary Bearclaw split off and start yelling out orders to the two groups of militia. The militia men and women rush forward and engage the seadevils.
G1 swings at S3 and watches his sword just miss his opponent. G2 does the same with S2, G3 watches as Draxx's arrows strike S7 and as the seadevil drops to the sand goes to aid Arrisa on S4 and with an amazing strike that does 12 points. G4 moves towards S& but realizes it is dead and waits for the next opponent. G5 heads toward the invisible enemy and swings at an opponent she can't see and misses. G6 & G7 also head toward the invisible enemy and have better luck in finding a target as G6's sword strikes something that send a stream of blood gushing for 8 points. almost at the same time Arien"s arrows strike an invisible target and a splash is seen and heard as something falls.

G2 takes a trident, and 6 points, in the side from a charging from S2. G1 facing an opponent himself takes 3 from S3's rusty short sword. S5 comes out of the surf whirling his barbed net and expertly tosses it at G12, who gets entangled and wrapped up and takes 12 points onlt to very weakly struggle against the net. G5 takes 2 from iS8. As Arrisa draws her staff back, the 200 pound S4 lets out a blood curdling scream and launches itself at the ranger, au natural, and attacks her with all four feet and jaws for 11 points. As Bill retreats up the beach a sea devil (iS3) appears only a few feet away as a net comes flying toward him and suddenly jerks right back at the sea devil and entangle the beast for 7 points of damage and sends him falling to the sand. Sedar just withdraws his dagger fron the sahaugin he justr attacked and winces himself as he realizes there is a spear stuck in his side(3 points) Several other formerly invisible sea devils appear as they let fly with barbed nets of their own, most miss but one comes flying toward Arien and tangles him up causing him 3 points of damage.

K'isst's momentary turn of anger on Hasima has unexpected effects as the slightly built cleric almost falls to the ground as her spell is disrupted. Taking a moment to recover she slowly follows K'isst, trying to clear the cobwebs from her head as she goes. as they reach the head and start moving it several guards approach as if to stop K'isst, but the combination of K'isst's visage and Hasima's presence halts them in their tracks and then they start aiding in the moving endeavor. K'isst and the others are finding that the head is extremely heavy and hard to move. and the going is slowed more by the milling and near panicked townsfolk.

Arrisa let's out a slight yelp as the Sea Devil attacks her with it's claws. The elven ranger takes two more swings at the Sea Devil and looses her staff. (Other one hit AC 0 for 5 total damage)

Draax looks around for a clear shot on one of the devils. As he takes aim one of the panicked townsfolk runs across his line of sight just as he get ready to release the arrow. The bow flies out of his hand as he forces himself his arm to shoot up in an effort to not hit the fool. He is glad to see that the bow did not break under the strain, but not happy at the distance the bow fell away from him. Cursing loudly, Draax get ready to pick up his sword and shield that he drop at his feet earlier.

While Bill continues backing up (towards the spot between G4 and Draax), he notes that the militia woman (G5) is surrounded. He waves G4 over to help Sedar and G5. Using his throwing skills, he focuses for now on doing more damage (+1 damage) rather than for greater accuracy. He aims his next darts at the sahuagin on the guard's flank (iS8). The first one flies over the amphibian's head into the water beyond. The next three hit AC 8, -2, -1, for 4, 4, and 4 hp damage each on iS8.

He wonders if the sahuagin have a backup plan if this first assault fails. He starts wondering what the Windhorn Hamleteers will do if they do. And he's worried for the civilians here for the ceremony. Maybe someone from the Red Wyrm Inn will come to help ... sooner than two days from now. Then he remembers the giant. "ATOMOS!" he shouts as his fourth dart flies.

Caught off guard be the appearing seadevils, he feels the spear enter his side, the mage falls back a few steps to gather himself. Fear about being overwhelms 'Sedar' for a flashing moment. Pushing through his fear he counter attack (is4) again, but the pain in his side affects his strikes as he misses them both. Hearing Bill cry out the giants'name he wonder what the little fellow is up to.?

"Ack!" Arien responds with a yell of his own as he is pulled down by the barbed net. As soon as he recovers his wits he begins the painful and worrisome process of extracting himself from the tangled mess.

Kisst continues working on moving the head. She recruits help as she can. "The Sea Devils want to steal it. We can prevent that by moving the head inland. Help me!" She begins grabbing people to help by looking in their eyes. If she sees fear there, she leaves them be. If she sees defiance, she recruits them. When the head is in motion and being pushed, she extracates herself and becomes the rear guard to the moving head.

"Sedar - Check in the water!" Bill suggests to his friend, figuring the Sea Devils' goal is the head, and they'll leave Sedar alone if he goes the other way. And if there is somebody else down there, he can give early warning. He hopes there's nobody else down there, though, for Sedar's sake.

G1,2,3,4,6,7,8 all miss their respective attacks, but the Militia woman G5 suddenly realizes that she is isolated and a strange look passes over her eyes and with a before to unseen fury starts wailing on her opponent IS8 connecting twice for 14 points of damage and all but cleaved it in twain.

Rond's arrows find their target IS5 (ARien) and both arrows find a feathered home in the beast and it promptly falls to the beach head. Two of bill's darts find a home in IS8 body just as the militia woman goes berserk and cuts it in two. Arissa (AS) strikes her opponent and it also falls to the sand. K'isst and her small army of helpers have managed to make it to the bridge with K'isst bringing up the rear. while her instincts are usually pretty good due to all the noise she does not hear or see the the tell tale signs of the invisible stalker until it is too late.

S1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, IS1, IS4, IS6, IS7 all Miss S2 some how manages to get tanled up in the net it was carrrying and drops hid trident as it falls to the ground in a tangle S8 conects on Hiram Veil for 6 points and as he does so goes totally still. IS2 flashes to visibility just as its trident graves K'ssst's side for 2 points. (Btw Sea devil's Acs are 4 & 5)

Waiting for his moment, the sea devil(S1) facing the militia man (G3) manages to poke his opponent for 5 points. Sea devil S2, perplexed by the fact that he is now facing two opponents cabt decide whom to attack and misses Arrisa badly. Seadevil 3 skewers G9 for 8 points and is now lying on the sand impaled and bleeding profusely. S5 rounds on Mary Bear Claw with a fury rarely seen and nails her with his rusty sword for 6 points. G1 is hit in the leg by his opponent (S6) for 2. S7 misses. S8 is still standing motionless next to Hiram veil. iS1 trying to avoid the rampaging berserk guardswoman connect with sedar for 6 points. K'isst's visible(see last post) opponent iS2 takes advantage of the Demi-Trog's jammed thunb and strikes again this time connecting for 3. iS4 falls to the beach at Draxx's, Bill's, and G4's onslaught. iS6 charges Arien with lowered trident and rams all three tines into Arien's mid section for 3 points of damage. is7 sandwiched between two guards misses and looks like he is about to panick.

G3 more worried about his new wound misses with his attack on S1. G2 swings a bit wildly and S2 is able to just avaoid being stabbed. G9, irritated at being injured, retaliates and slices open the arm of S3 for 5 points.G1, G6, and G7 all miss badly. G4 Hits iS4 as it is struck by Draax's and Bill's attacks. And our berserk militia lass (G5) tears into the back of Sedar's opponent with three devastating attacks causing 29 points of damage and sending bits of blood and gore all over Sedar. Her attack also results in iS1 falling to the ground in several pieces and leaves Sedar facing a red-eyed, blood-spattered, foamy-mouthed, berserk killing machine. Mary retaliates and manages to score a hit on her opponent causing 6 points of damage.

Rond's arrows find a home in K'isst's opponent and causes it to stumble just a bit and in turn caused K'isst to try an adjust her stroke in mid aatack resulting in the jamming of her thumb. The Head and its escorts have crossed the bridge and are slowly moving toward town. the rest of the towns people, realizing that they are in danger but that the enemy seems to be being held at bay start picking up rocks and indiscrimintely start throwing them every which way, hoping to strike an enemy.

Rond considers helping G9, by bandaging him, and attempting to stop the flow of blood. (I was unsure where he was). If Rond is unable to move to him quickly, then he'll fire two more arrows into Kisst's opponent. When Rond sees his arrows pass by, he gets nervous for a minute, until the arrow falls to the ground.

"Sedar, Draax, militia - to the other side!" shouts Bill as he himself scurries around the back of the Sentinel. "Clerics, healers, see to the wounded!" His last four normal darts (+1 damage) he hurls towards S6. Well, the antepenultimate dart falls apart in his hand, giving him a small sliver, and causing him to miss the opportunity for the third. The last dart sinks deeply into S6 for 4 hp damage (should have rolled a d3, rolled d4, subtracted one, added one). At the end of the round, Bill looks to G12 under the net, seeing whether he can help the severely wounded militia man (start of next round).

K'isst's trident jab drops the seadevil in its tracks and leaves her peering around to see what is going on. Between Draax's charge and Arien's retaliation iS6 is soon bleeding from a multitude of wounds as it sinks to its knees, and then tries to regain its feet. Bill's darts find a home in the side of S6. He then sees that G12 is way past any possible help. Rond sees that G9 is too far to reach any time quickly, and then grimaces as he watches his arrows go astray. Arrisa, having retrieved her staff and avoided being skewered by S2, swings her staff and nearly drops it a second time.

S1 attacks G3 with its trident and drops the militiaman to his knees. S2 returns Arrisa's strike with one of his own, only Arrisa feels the bite of a rusty sword (for 3 points). S3 stabs down at the netted G9 and finishes him off with an additional 6 points. S5 tries to strike Mary Bearclaw and misses. iS6, though bleeding from a number of wounds and on its knees manages to draw a dagger and drive into Arien's side for 3 more points of damage.

G3 having been struck by S1 drops his weapon as he tries to retaliate. G2 misses. Mary trying to avoid being struck, issue orders and help her wounded also misses her attack. G1 seeing Bill come flying and throwing darts his way flinches as he swings his sword and drops his weapon into the surf. Hiram Veil reaches over to his paralyzed victim, disarms it and pushes it over into the sand. G6 and G7 both miss their attack on iS6. The Berserk lass somehow manages to recognize that Sedar is not a target and somehow manages to charge pell mell through the dead, dying and still fighting and rams her sword into and through iS6, leaving this side of the beach clear of sea devils.

Dropping his dagger Arien draws an arrow and sets it to the string of his bow which he still held in his other hand. Aiming straight at the closest Sea Devil he looses the first arrow a moment later a second one follows it. The arrow spears the creature through the neck, severing the main artery while the second buries itself into the Sahuagin's side. (23 points total)

Arien watches in satisfaction as his arrows fly true and S1 drops in his tracks. S2 and S3 miss with their attacks. But S5 nails Mary in the side as Bill's call distracts her. S6 misses as well. G2 hits S2 for 8. G3 charges S3 but missteps and lands face first in the surf. G4 slits the paralyzed S8's throat. G1 swings at S6 and connects for ten points and grunts with satisfaction as S6 falls to the beach. Some of the other guards head to help their comrades while a few follow Sedar.

K'isst grins with satisfaction as Sedar comes running with a few more guards towards the Head. "Good. Sedar, guard this with these guards and keep it safe. I'm going where I'm can be of greater service. Let's finish this long nightmare. I want a vacation!" K'isst spins her trident as she spins around to face the ongoing battle north of the head. She spots S5 and S6. S6 is closer. She sings a battlecry and charges back down the path. (no distance key so I assume I can get there with a charge.) K'isst charges #6 and nearly stumbles over the last bench (rolled a 5) hitting AC7 and missing. "S'ok. I'm just getting started. Come on. Hit me!" K'isst attempts to draw the attacks of S5 and S6 from the others who need a breather.

Worry crosses his face as his friend put himself in immediate danger. pointing back to the beach "Guards .... back to the beach to finish them off ... before they can call for reinforcement." Leading the way he charges back into the fray towards his friend.

Astonished at the might of Draax's swings, Bill scoots away, by splashing around behind Mary Bear Claw to come up behind S2. But all he succeeds in doing is splashing, not connecting with anything solid. He backs up into the water several feet. "Keep one alive for questioning!" he shouts.

Rond sees that the battle is pretty well in hand and sees that several militia men nearby are wounded.

As S6 struggles to rise from the beach, Draax wales upon him, turning him into chopped dog food and sending sahaugin bits all over S5 and K'isst as she barges into the fray.

S2 seeing the demise of most of his companions and the imminent arrival of enemy reinforcements, he turns and flees as Arrisa swings and connects solidly leaving the now very dead sea devil, S2, floating face down in the surf.

S3 and S5 also seeing that the end is near and that their mission has failed also turn tail and flee, but not before trying to do some last second damage to their enemies. Swinging at D2 and K'isst respectively, they both miss. As they do so, Arien feathers S3 as G1 and G2 swing and connect with the unlucky sea devil and it continues to limp its way into the surf. G3 and Mary Bear Claw attempt to stop the flight of S5 but both miss.

Draax, K'isst, the newly arrived Sedar and Bill may have an attack on S5 as it flees.

Arrisa, G5 and Arien may have a final attack on S3 as it tries to escape.

As S3 and S5 are riddled with daggers, sword, arrows and ill wishes, S3 splashes down face first into the surf and S5 though he stumbles and falls seems to disappear under the waves on his own power.

As the last sea devil disappears a loud cheer starts at one end of the beach and slowly fills the entire sentinel area.

Bill, who was already in the water (see post from Wed Sept 20th, 2:17:33 AM), dives below the water behind the sole fleeing sahuagin (S5). Summoning his mental energies, he emits a psionic blast (w/10 PSPs). Hitting mental AC 2 (assuming sahuagin has MAC of 10, effective if he is within 180 feet), the last trespasser takes 8 hp additional physical damage due to the assault upon his neurons.

Bill's head pops up out of the water. "Help me bring this guy back in. I think he's knocked out. Don't kill him!" Bill swims out to the sea devil who wounded good Mary. He sheaths his sword, but still has his dagger out, and is wary of the sea devil. If he is not moving, small Bill begins trying to tug him back towards the shore.
