Eclip replies to Breanna, "There is the dumb waiter. Also, there were two other blank areas on the map that could have concealed rooms or stairs, but we didn't find anything the first time we looked. I think we should go find Doloff."

Gentain's first priority is to keep the group together. If Eclip insists on going to see Doloff, then okay. But if he can wit a little more, then Gentian will go down the dumbwaiter.

Lenoir takes the alles to the table where Doloff and Eclip are sitting, places the ales in frount of them (keeping one mug for himself). He will ask "My I sit here , to watch the croud?"

Eclip orders an ale to drink as he talks. "First off Mr Doloff, you are not craze. The events you experienced really did happen. Your manor is built on one of the special places where the worlds' magical energy is concentrated referred to as a nexus. Most of the time the nexus is harmless, but under the right conditions, such as the coming blue moon, it can be used by those with the art to do powerful magic for good or bad. Prior to the building of your manor, this particular nexus was the holy place to the Fey which they called Cill Dara. Some four hundred years ago a human with the ability to use the nexus came and built the manor with the intent of doing some sort of powerful dark magic. He failed, apparently dieing in his attempt to use the nexus. Even so Cill Dara was harmed by the building of the manor, the Fey continue to live there and protect it. It was they who cause the strange occurrences over the years. They were the ones who through you out of the manor and caused it to vanish. They sense a power in your blood that in conjunction with the nexus and coming Blue moon caused them to fear something would happen. So, they tried to scare you away." Eclip takes a drink of his ale before continuing, "Apparently there have been repeated sacrifices through out the past by men to stop evil. There was a High Priest McKagen who gave his life for the Tol on the tor in the valley, so that evil will never rise. Then there was a warrior of Boccob who perished for the greater good during the church's centennial birthday. I don't known if this is related to the Cill Dara nexus. We searched the entire house, except for what ever is under the foyer. There was some type of stone door leading off the cellar, but we couldn't open it. The Fey seem to inhabit mostly the conservatory, but they spoke of others else where in the manor."
Eclip takes another drink of ale. "It might be if you stay away from the manor until after the full moon then nothing will happen and the Fey may let you live in peace, but I don't real know for sure."
Eclip finished his story and waits for the others to comment.
Spirit curls up and takes a nap while Eclip talks.

Lenoir speaks to Doloff, "I put my life on the line to get you this infomation. I hope you are happy for us and pay my Horse's tab in the stable. In fact I'm going to take him for a ride!"
With this said Lenoir get's up takes the full mug of ale and dumps it on the sawdust floor. Thens head for the door.

Eclip blinks dumb founded by the raw emotion from Lenoir. He looks from his mug to the one Lenoir poured out and realizes he must have insulted the proud fighter, "My deepest apologies, friend Lenoir! I've had a lot on my mind and I still feel in some way that I failed understand what is happing. Go and see to your horse. I sure he is anxious to see you too." Eclip shakes his head wearily and looks to Doloff for reaction to the news the party brought him.
Spirit raises his head at the outburst, and quickly scrambles out of the way when the mug of ale is dumped on the floor.

While Doloff sits in amazement, pondering what was said. "So, what are you saying? I don't know much about fey. Nexus?" He sits back. "My blood?"

Eclip tries to answer Doloff questions, "Fey are creatures usually with strong connections to nature and supernatural abilities. Sometimes they look something like humans. The ones in the conservatory were very tiny, fast and magical."
Eclip continues "Nexues basically are places where someone can tap into a lot of magical energy. More so than normal, if the conditions are right and they know how. If you were to build a watermill along a river there are places where you can get a lot more power out of the river."
He takes a sip of his Ale before adding the last, "As for your blood? Who knows. You could be related to a powerful spell user. Maybe one of your ancestors was half dragon, element of nature, or even demigod. Stranger things have been known to happen. The Fey seemed to think it was important."
Spirit settles back down on the floor.

The only real friend is you! your the only one that follows me for the human that I am! Not for the risk I'm able to take." "... there were wierd stories in our family that some great uncle or someone like that was born with a tail or something. As I understand it I was born with this tan. Could the tan mean something?"
"What your telling me is that the house is built on top of a energy mill?"
"Yes, some of the books were passed on, but when my family got the house, it was still full of alot of the previous owners' stuff. It was sort of an estate sale. Alot of the antiques are mine though."
"Thank you. The library is nice."

Eclip shrugs, "Could be the tan means something, or it could be just a tan. Eclip thinks though his healing and nature knowledge to see if anything the tan means anything to him (healing DC22, Knowledge Nature DC26).
Continuing to answer questions, "As to the energy mill. If there is such a mill then where your house is would be a good place to build one."
Eclip thoughts wonder to where Lenoir is, probably out riding across the country side, not sitting in some old musty tavern explaining the theories of magic's nature to Doloff.

The thing I don't understand is what the Elemental Powers have to do with it, and why they are involved. Do you know anything about them?" Gentian asks.

Eclip takes a look at Doloff's skin. Its truly odd. This tan was not made by the sun.
"A natural power mill under my house. This isn't good. Lets talk in my room." He looks around and heads upstairs to retained room. In the room. "So, is it likely anyone else knows about this power center under the manor?"

Eclip glances around at Breenna, Genlean and Calor, nods his head "Come on guys." On the way to the room, if Eclip sees Lenoir in the common room he motions for him to join in.
In response to Doloff's question, "The fellow who build the mansion knew about it. The Fey know about it. While it may not be common knowledge, it is reasonable to assume others may know or find out about it."
Spirit gets up and follows at Eclip's side.

The remaining question I have is what is so important about the house that made the Elemental Lord send you? But many people ask that quest everyday and never recieve an answer. If you like, I can pay those of you who wish it so you can be on your way. If you would like to stay in town, we can set you up with a room here. But I think you have all done admirably. Don't beat yourselves up.
I think it will be fun getting to know the fey who live with me. Can you take me there to meet with them?"

"Alright folks, its been fun, but I think I'm off. I'll be in the area for the next few days if you need me again. Kolpis will know where and how to find me." The dwarf turns and is off in a flash.

Lenoir's comment seems odd to Eclip, "How so Lenoir? What has Doloff done to offed you?" Eclip glances at Doloff and shrugs.
Then to Doloff, "I don't feel right in taking any payment from you. First we didn't ask for any. Second I don't feel we archived what we where sent to do. Third, the method we use to get here limits what we can take back with us."

Highlight to display spoiler: {Well, truth be told, I had a hard time wrangling all you in and I'm afraid I didn't tell my story to the best of my abilities. The module was meant as a prologue of sorts to a main campaign. As I have not heard anything else about stretching it into the mainstream games, I have to assume Jerry killed it as a campaign. Also, I have much to work out in my world and I'm still writing the cultural backstories which I have found difficult. I'm much better flying by the seat of my pants and in fact, I left this module open ended.}
Anyone is paid who wants it. And Doloff bids everyone farewell.
Thanks for playing my silly module. It was meant as a prologue for a long campaign, but it seems Jerry forgot about me. Aw well. However, that said, I enjoyed you all and will be sorting out rewards for all of you. Those PC's who wish to return to the Tol can expect gold and reconition later. The big city awaits.
