Wilford has a moment of realization, he no longer needs to look to the gods for approval, he is the master of his own destiny. He recalls that as well known as the Prince is in Dirt City, he has never met or seen him. He is still getting used to this new body and tries his best to learn its new skills.
Kiwana questions whether it is better to show up to the Prince's call is less then peak condition, but worries about a fight breaking out.
Ayotnom paces as he waits for the escort.
Tsak does his best to prepare himself for what could be a tense encounter with this powerful figure. He waits quietly, though the thoughts of Esmeralda continue to haunt him.
Mak paces the deck waiting for the escort and trying out his new found item.
Elyas questions the guards but they do not answer.
Falco gathers the group and makes sure they are healed and prepared to face the coming challenges.
A group of black guards follows Master Yelzez to the ship, "Glad to see you all on your feet, the Prince awaits you. Please follow." He turns and begins walking without a backward glance at the party. 2 of the guards follow closely behind him while the other 4 wait for the group to exit before bringing up the rear. As the group travels through the city, many of the towns people will whisper and point. Anyone on the path moves out of the way with quickness. You are brought to a massive stately mansion. Master Yelez has you stop a few feet from the doors and approaches, places his hand on the door which glows with an arcane sigil, and he recants something in a whispered voice. The door opens and he beckons the group to follow. The 6 black guards do not follow the party into the mansion. As you enter, the inside is immaculately kept and well decorated. The foyer is grand and shots off to several rooms on both sides. Master Yelzez continues forward up a grand staircase, assuming the group will follow. The staircase reaches the 2nd floor, where it branches off to hallways in both directions. Master Yelzez continues walking forward to giant set of wooden doors, he knocks, and pulls both doors open. Master Yelez ushers you into the room where the first half is lit with torches in sconces and the back of the room is shrouded in darkness.

This is the groups first important meeting without Rolth as spokesperson and the ranger aims to listen intently, answer intelligently and make the best impression possible, followed closely by a big deep breath and a trip to a pub.

Mak kept his weapons hidden. The rapier was safely in his magic glove, his bow in the haversack, and miscellaneous weapons stashed in their proper places with the large elven curve blade securely tied into its sheath. If they were ambushed it would take him a bit to get fully up to speed, but with his magic glove he wouldn’t be unarmed.
In the meantime Mak maintained a relaxed posture, but ready for anything.

Tsak takes the lead, he hopes to fill in able during Rolth's absence. He steady's himself and presents a confident front. An odd taste is felt on his tongue when he thinks of the future trip to the pub.

Kiwina waits patiently trying to pick up and hints about the darkness. He sees a table and some chairs but nothing more.
Wilford does his best to blend it and keeps a watchful eye on the guards.
Elyas does his best to calm and not do anything to warrant attention. He questions what the meeting is really about.
Mak reviews his inventory in his head, prepared for anything.
Ayotnom questions why the room is lit as such, maybe symbolism.
After everyone has entered the room, he stands in the doorway. "Attention, there are points of clarification that I need to make you aware of. One, the Prince is a very important person and, as such, precautions must be taken. The room you stand in will be enveloped in an antimagic field. There will be an invisible barrier placed between your party and the presiding council. Please do not do anything that would be deemed hostile, it will not be dealt with lightly. Two, once the protections have been put in place the council will take their seats, followed by Prince Fexel. Three, please address all questions towards the prince with a formal greeting of Prince Fexel. Four, once the meeting has ended and assuming you are allowed to leave, you will wait for all of the council to exit before the invisible barrier and the antimagic field are released. Have I made myself understood?" He will stare at the party awaiting confirmation.

Mak listened carefully, understanding exactly what the implications of an antimagic field were. He'd experienced it with the beholder forcing his sword into his hand. "Apologies," Mak started. "I took a few precautions on the way here and to not surprise anyone I need to put my weapon away."
Mak summoned the rapier from his glove and sheathed it. Of course he realized that with his bow and quiver in his pack he'd only have the non magical properties of his weapons to rely on. Fortunately the adamantine the sword was made of wasn't magical and it was still a masterwork item should an ambush be in the making.
Once Mak had situated himself he said. "Please proceed." he said using the proper means of response he'd learned in Aisildur.

Mak makes the necessary preperations before signaling that he was ready. He was, however, not prepared for how the field would affect him physically.
Elyas understands the need for such protections and patiently waits.
Falco feels these precautions are a bit pretintious and over the top. {Master Yelzez had cast a 'Knock' spell on the door. As you saw no visible key hole, you would assume the door has an 'Arcane Lock' spell on it. You would also know that a 'Knock' spell does not dismiss an 'Arcane Lock' spell, it only supressing it for 10 minutes.}
Kiwina nods in understandment but then hesitates, but the chance to change anything has passed.
Wil begrudgingly stows his crossbow. He has mixed emotions about what is about to happen but is very interested.
Tsak agrees, as he would figures fighting probably isn't in the agenda as they likely would not be here if that was the case.
Ayotnom sheathes his weapon but comforts himself that he has ample weapon training that the loss of magic could be overcome if necessary.
Master Yelez receives confirmation from all the party members and pulls the doors close behind him. A moment later the party can feel the antimagic field affect them. A door is heard opening from the dark side of the room and 4 figures can be seen lighting the sconces. You see a half circle table with 7 chairs. A moment later, 3 doors on each side of the room open and 6 figures approach and stand in front of the chairs. You see 3 humans, a dwarf, a halfling, and a half-elf around the table, each wearing a symbol of their appropriate houses. Finally a figure emerges from a door directly in the center, a medium humanoid with a blank white mask draped in black clothing. He approaches the ornate chair in the middle, nods to each side of the table and then sits. The other members at the table follow suite. The person in the white mask takes a moment to orient himself before their gaze falls upon the party. The voice that follows is unexpected and does nothing to help you narrow any details about the Prince. "Welcome, Petals. Lets get right down to business. I have heard various stories of your actions since you entered Dirt City. I will allow you to give your side of the story. Know that I do not take kindly to lying." They will fold their hands together and wait patiently for the party's answer.

Mak wasn’t surprised at the turn of events. He wanted to leave ever since the discovery that Nevras wasn’t going to talk. That they now seemed to be in some sort of trial only confirmed his feeling that they should have left. Still, aside from their questionable entry into Nevras’ home he felt they were on solid ground.
”Your majesty,” Mak started, with perhaps an elevated honorific, ”Thank you for this opportunity to express our appreciation for the safe escort to our ship on yesterday. Since we arrived in your fine community we’ve felt welcomed by your people and sought to work within the laws made aware to us. As for our purpose here, we come with the authority of the Taur leadership regarding a threat to the people’s of the isles. As their representatives we have been investigating a connection that this Nevras had with an evil dragon that was attacking the residents of Liontaur island. In the dragons horde we found documents connecting Nevras to the dragon and sought to question the reclusive necromancer. Unfortunately one misunderstanding lead to another and Nevras attacked us. In the series of events that proceeded we discovered he was collecting body parts from both the living and the dead here in your city. Nevras never really gave us the chance to negotiate, choosing deadly force both physical and magical. Even once we withdrew he pursued us into the streets of your fair city as some kind of retribution for our actions. We can only assume he was seeking to silence us so that we wouldn’t bring his connection the evil dragon that terrorized the isles to your esteemed attention. Throughout the ordeal in which two of our members were slain we were unfortunately force to defend ourselves. The result as you see has not been beneficial to either party and our knowledge of Nevras involvement in our home has yet to be determined. We can make some assumptions, but we have no hard facts other than the necromancers attempt on our lives.”

But the gist of it is that we came to Dirt City looking for Nevras Canthil to ask him some questions, and were forced to defend ourselves first from his creations and then from him after his servant admitted us to his house. We had recently fought Grovas, son of Vurm, on Liontaur Island. Among this dragon's posessions, in a book of necromancy, was a letter telling him to contact Nevras to get in touch with the previous owner of the book. We were looking for information on who was helping Grovas. With Nevras dead, we have no further leads."
So much for their most recent troubles. There was another matter the prince probably heard about. "While we were looking for Nevras we were directed to a warehouse that in fact housed a beholder. The spell we used to enter while investigating the warehouse should have caused no damage to the place, and the beholder attacked us before we saw it."

Elyas expexts to be regaled by Rolth with their exploits but is left only with pain as he remembers that Rolth is no longer with them.
Wilford is happy to let other take the lead here.
Mak had a suspicion that their actions were going to lead them here. Despite that, he felt their actions were justified and he presents them to the council as such.
Kiwina backs up Mak's details and adds their own account of the adventures, including a few new ones.
Tsak listens the stories of his party members and approves of their retellings.
Ayotnom stands there quietly.
The Prince sits stoically, barely moving listening to the party's stories. Other members of the council, however, were not so stoic. The half-elf representative from the Darts seemed very uncomfortable, shifting in his seat often. The human resprestative from the Teeth stood up to say something after the reveal of the beholder but quickly thought better of it and sat back down. The dwarf representative of the Knives sat there mumbling under his breath and shooting the party daggers with his eyes. The other 3 representatives sat there listening to the party, you could tell some of the were suprised by the details but did their best not to be too expressive. After the party finishes their side of the story, the Prince will stand, "Thank you for your cooperation, your details have aligned with the various reports that I have received. Your actions, despite its merits, have caused a disrubtion within the city. Reperations are going to have to be made to the various affected groups." The prince stops and looks around the council, all nodding in agreement.

'Here comes the grift' thinks Tsak. 'Youve been bad but all can be made well if you just do this small job for us!' But nothing shows on the half-orc's face. They've been down this path before and he isn't surprised. Dirt City is a business, just like any other city. The party just have to make sure they're well compensated for whatever risk they're about to take on, on behalf of these strangers.

Mak speaks up to remind the Prince of their diplomatic status as ambassadors from Taur Island.
Falco thinks about speaking up but decides against it.
The Prince listens to Ayotnom and Mak. "I'm sorry if my intentions were unclear. The reparations will be paid to you, not from you. It appears there were activities in the city that were not up to code. Your actions brought these to light and to my attention, to which you have my gratitude. However, we can not let knowledge of these events spread. My proposal is that the guilty houses will pay 15,000 gp each to your group for damage and suffering, totaling 30,000 gp. Upon acceptance of this gold, you agree not to discuss your discoveries in this city with anyone outside of your adventuring group. Do we have a deal?" The Prince will wait patiently for the group's response.

We still have to investigate the origin of the evil that has plagued our homeland, and to do so we might talk to other potential contacts about Nevras. is Nevras off limits to discuss now, or just his connections to this city?

Not much of a Trial, thought Mak. bring us here to give us money? Yes please. Of course it might have been his diplomatic efforts that turned the tide? Nahhh. Rolth might have been able to do that, but all he had were veiled threats intended to keep them out of jail, even if his words were true.
"Other than the Taur Council, we have no need to discuss events here with anyone. Your cooperation is appreciated and we'll make certain to stress that to the Taur Leadership. We do however, seem to be at an impasse, your Majesty, since our investigation appears to have ended with Nevras death. It would help us on our way if we knew of any associates Nevras might have had, either in the city or elsewhere who we could consult. Hopefully with a more reasoned discussion. Elyas was surprised to see the Prince sided with them. He asked the Prince to clarify the terms of the agreement as they still had an investigation to complete.
Falco was confused and bewildered at the turn of events.
Wilford expected nothing less, the city and the houses have a reputation to keep.
Kiwina did not see this turn of events happening. Other then a new lead, he would rather not dicuss the happenings in this city again.
Mak considers if it was his dimplomacy that caused such a fortunate turn of events but realizes that he is still not as polished as Rolth would have been. He then echoes Elyas statement that their investigation seems to have hit a dead end and was hoping that the council or the Prince may have someone that they could take too, hopefully in a more reasoned discussion.
Ayotnom also follows Elyas lead in askiing about specific details of the agreement.
Tsak stands their stern faced as ever.
The Prince considers the questions. "I see. You may report your activities to the Taur leadership, but I ask that you keep the details only to Nevras and your findings regarding Achtoor. You are not to mention any of the Houses nor what was discovered in the warehouse. You will be asked to sign an agreement on your way out, Master Yelzez has all the details out in the lobby, including your compensation. As far as your investigation, you are free to return to the house and search it for information. The house has remained untouched and we have had guards posted there overnight. Yelzez will give you a writ allowing you to enter the premises. You will be granted 48 hours of protection to complete your investigation, I suggest you do not overstay your welcome. Wilford is happy to be able to do something in non-llive threatening circumstances, but struggles to recall exactly what they were looking for.
Elyas thanks the Prince and promises to be out of the city as quickly as possible.

Ayotnom says they will sign the document and act in accordance with the terms set down.
Tsak starts to think of all they could do in 48 hours.
The Prince stands, "Very well. If you ever return to Dirt City, I hope it will be under better circumstances. As a parting gift, If you should ever need a favor, I would be willing to entertain your proposal but can promise no more then that." The prince stands, followed by the rest of the council. The 6 representatives bow as the prince leaves the room through the same door he entered in. The council follow suite so after. After a moment you can feel the magic return, and Master Yelzez opens the double doors and motions for you to exit the room. As you walk back down the stairs you can see a table with a set of papers, an ink box and quill. "The terms are as agreed upon by the Prince and the Petals. You are not to speak of the houses or any details outside of your investigation into Nevras. You are granted 48 hours to complete your investigation with permission to enter the premises again. Please sign and you can be on your way." says Yelzez. One everyone has signed he will collect the papers. He then snaps his fingers and another black guard approaches the party with 2 bags and an envolpe. "I would like to wish you luck with your investigation on behalf of Prince Fexel. Good day." Master Yelzez says as he ushers the party out the door and back into the streets.

Mak read the contract over carefully to see if it reflected the agreement as stated during the "Trial" and once satisfied that it did signed his name alongside the other Petals.

Upon seeing the others reading the contract before signing it, Kiwina skips the reading part when it is his turn to sign -- if no one raises questions. He is not sure the contract would be enforceable outside of Dirt City, reasons they could send assassins whether he breaks it or not, and sees no Oathbound around.
"I agree with Mak, Wil. If it's too difficult to go back to that house, we can search without you. But stay on the ship, since it seems we might be targets now and while we may have 48 hours of protection, they probably have things they can do in that time that don't violate the Prince's rules."

Wilford has reservations about heading back to the place he recently died. He eventually decides to stay with the party and head back to the house.
Falco signs the agreement and understands Wil's apprehension.
Mak reads over the contract to make sure it was as agreed upon. He listens to Wilford and wonders if he can even use magic.
Elyas also reads over the agreement carefully. {I think that check makes sense} Elyas notes that agreement is vague about the consequences of breaking the contract. It seems to put the power of deciding how severe the infraction and its punishment with the council and the Prince. It also outlines a procedure for the party to report any transgressions by the houses to the Prince. These would not be deemed crazy or unexpected, so Elyas signs it.
Kiwina assumes that Mak and Elyas would have done their due diligence and if it was good enough for them, it was good enough for him. He offers Wil an alternative to going back to the house.
Ayotnom signs his document with style and announces that he wants to get back to the house asap.
Tsak signs the agreement and travels with the party back to Nevras's house.
The party finds themselves back on the street and are met with looks and whispers from many of those around and passing by. The group, having already decided, heads straight to Nevras's House. There are several guards stationed at the house making sure nobody enters the premises. Once they are shown the writ, the allow you to pass. The guards maintain their presence outside the house.
Tsak signs the agreement and travels with the party back to Nevras's house. :)
Once inside the house Tsak searches room to room taking note of everything. He's particularly looking for anything with writing on it and hidden or locked boxes, drawers or cupboards.

Once on the street Mak is hit with the realization that without Rolth here the looks they were getting was probably as much that as them exiting the princes residence. In many ways Rolth was Mak's mentor and certainly someone he looked up to. The entire journey to the necromancer's house Mak stayed alert and watchful of their surroundings.
He also paid careful attention to their path so he'd be able to find his way back alone if needed.

Tsak carefully investigates the house, checking all the usual spots.
Mak continues to lament Rolth's absence, missing him dearly. He spends the trip making mental notes of their path.
Kiwina and Falco use their magic to assist with the search.
Wilford is still trying to figure out his new self. One thing he does realize it that his voice doesn't seem to carry as much emphasize as it used too.
Tsak is coming to grips with the new Wil but wonders if a few drinks will lead to the same shenanigans.
The guards respond to Wilford's question, "As per order's of the Prince, no one has entered or left the premises." The party notices that parts of the house have been destroyed, more so then what they did to it. Kiwina and Falco soon find the source of the chaos. The homunculus that they first encountered seems to have gone feral. It hisses at the party as they move through the house. Tsak finds a chest under a desk in the laboratory. It appears to be locked by a rune combination. Mak finds a book which appears to be a journal for Nevras.

Tsak drags the chest out from under the desk and moves it to a bench where it can be examined by one of the magic users. The decision of what to do with the homonculus he also leaves to the magic users, although if they say that killing it is a kindness or necessity he will assist with the gruesome task. Wilford wonders what can be done with the homunculus.
Kiwina suggests killing the homunculus before turning their attention to the lock. The lock appears to have 7 push buttons with a symbol on them: a crown, key, dart, knife, tooth, cloak, dart. You quickly deduce that these must represent the 6 houses and the prince. You also notice a etched on the bottom is a strange symbol.
Ayotnom continues searching the house. He finds a couple of chests in the laboratory under some bodies. They are pretty heavy but unlocked.
Elyas realizes that usually homunculus will go insane upon the death of their creator, unless the creature was freed by its master. In those cases, the creature can become a guardian and territorial of its master's area. It probably hasn't attacked knowing its out matched. If the creature is left alone it will continue to be a problem for anyone that enters this house. They will continue to search the house, looking for more mundane items.
Mak keeps a sharp eye on the creature in case it decides to attack.
Falco seems distracted by the creature and looks for a consensus from the group about what should be done about the creature.
Tsak joins Mak in keeping an eye on the creature while the chest is looked over.
The creature continues to harass the party from afar. The box does not appear to be magically locked, so the mechanism must be mundane.

Falco offers a magical solution.
Wilford tries his hand at picking the lock but the mechanism seems too complicated. Unsure of his skill, he backs off rather then breaking it.
Elyas finds that the runes on the bax can be pressed in slightly. He accidently presses 2 runes and is met by a shock. {Dex save of 21, 18 Electricity damage (9 on a successful save)} The runes appear to have to be pressed in a specific sequential order to unlock the box.
Kiwina comes to the conclusion that the journal must contain the code to unlock the box.
Ayotnom is distracted by the gems and jewels. {There are several thousand gold pieces worth of valuables in the chest, more time is needed to truly assess the hull's worth.}
Elyas's shocking revelation leads to the breakthrough on the lock. The journal is believed to hold the key to the combination. As you peruse the journal you see that they are broken into trials. He seems to be currently writing about the 7th trial. As you flip through the pages you notice that at the beginning of each trial is a symbol for each of the houses. Trial 1 starts with the House of Darts and continues, Knives, Wolves, Teeth, Cloaks, Keys, and the 7th trial has the Prince's symbol.
Tsak studies the journal. He looks at the entries for each house and tries to figure out if there is a symbol that somehow matches the house. If he's successful at that then he'll press the rune symbols in the order that they appear in the trials (Darts, Knives, Wolves, Teeth, Cloaks, Keys and Prince). As he presses each he grits his teeth preparing for a shock from the device.

Elyas hands the box to Tsak after taking a shock on his attempt. He finds it curious and wonders if the houses are involved.
Kiwina offers a suggestion without realizing Tsak is already doing it.
Tsak completes the runes in the order of they appear in the book. As he presses the Prince symbol, he receives a much stronger shock. {Reflex save DC 25, 36 Electricity damage, 18 on a successful save.} The symbols reset but the box does not open. You seem to have the right idea but have to figure out the correct order.

Ayotnom begins digging around the chest to see if they can find anything to help. Nothing seems to stick out to him.
Mak stands guard around the party.
Falco casts a healing upon Tsak and then casts a spell to help lessen any further wounds.
Kiwina asks if the group would prefer to move this investigation to another place. They then wonder around the house trying to figure out who Nevras was as a person. He doesn't find much personal affects, Nevras seems to have been almost completely devoted to his work.
Wilford thinks solving the box here would be best. He asks about other clues.
As Wilford asks his question, he takes the journal and flips it over to look at the symbol on the back of the book. Kiwina notices this and wonders why the symbol would be on the back and not the front. Nevras, despite the appearance of the rooms, seems to have been very organized and detailed in his work.

Tsak falls on his butt as the lock gives him a nice big 'kapow' for his efforts. He thanks Falco for the healing as he shakes off the zap. Does anyone remember the order of the houses in the Prince's meeting room? Or it could be the order they were created? Or the order in which Nevras wanted to destroy them? Or the answer might be in how they look on a map. I think we should spend a bit more time here trying to piece it together.

Falco agrees with Elyas's assessment.
Mak suggests a more direct approach.
Tsak pushes the symbol's in reverse order as the group discusses other options. He prepares to hit the Darts symbol, bracing for a shock, but is met by a satisfying click, click, click. The top of the box lifts slightly allowing Tsak to remove it. Inside you find several sheets of paper, a book and an ebony skull. The papers appear to be correspondence between Nevras and Achtoom. They discuss the recruitment of Grovas and Nevras's growing proficiency with making the golems. The last letter appears to be an invite to Achtoom's house in Willsden. Achtoom believes he has an idea to make Nevras's Golems more powerful.

Kiwina tries to recall if they have heard of Willsden.
Tsak is proud of himself and looks forward to celebrating at a tavern, hopefully soon. There is a dry taste in his mouth when he thinks about the tavern.
Elyas is more concerned with the items then the letters. The book is a Golem Manual of Flesh. Using The skull radiates a moderate evocation magic and abjuration magic. Unfortunately, he was unable to identify them or what the ebony skull is. The box nor the letters seem to produce any magical auras.
Ayotnom confirms with Elyas assessment about the book. He however was not able to figure out anything more then Elyas did about the skull. He wracks his brain to see if he had heard any information about Willsden.
Mak impatiently waits for the tavern. Falco appears to be studying the items but doesn't comment anything.
The group is able to combine their collective knowledge and figure out that Willsden is a small hamlet located in Blackbird Forest. Its very secluded, which makes sense for a person trying to keep a low profile. The easiest path is to head to Cresthaven, a small town on the outskirts of the forest, and hire a guide. Blackbird forest is known to be the home of a druid clan and a local would be your best bet not to anger them.
As the group makes plans for their next steps, Wilford loudly declares, "I'm not going!" . As everyone quiets down, Wilford clears his throat, "Sorry, didn't mean to yell. But, I can't continue my journey with you. I have been given a new life, another chance, honestly I've lost count. I need to discover this new me, which I can not do with everyone still expecting the old me. My mind is finally my own, I think, and I feel like there is a new, different path for me." He takes a deep breath looking at the whole party, "Thank you for being on this journey with me and accepting all of me, when many others wouldn't. May Wardd bless you on your next journey". He goes to do a gesture to impart a blessing but stops halfway through, "I guess that is not going to work, old habits die hard. Ward's Luck and be safe." Wilford gives heartfelt goodbye gestures and departs the house to start a new tale of his own.

"I think Blackbird Forest is on the way back to the islands. We could sail pretty close to it. But I've also heard the area is pretty dangerous, as in the sort of place where the trees don't like people. If we go, we ought to find out more when we get closer." Kiwina is half minded to let the authorities on the Taur Islands know what they've learned, even if it means going back to Minotaur Island first. Unless someone has a faster way of getting a lengthy message there.

Kiwina asks if they can take Wilford somewhere. He debates about where to head straight to Cresthaven or stop by Minotaur Island first.
Tsak is sad to see Wilford leave. He then makes plans for the night.
Mak believes they should inform the Purple Duke. He also wants to do some commemoration for Rolth.
Falco is just as unsure as the others as to what the ebony skull is. He also suggests that the group drop him off somewhere.
Ayotnom has come accept Wilford as a member of the group and it hurts too lose another one so soon after Rolth. He asks if the group is planning on hiring a druid guide.
Wilford turns down any additional help, "What better place to get lost then in a city of nobody's. Plus I'm sure to be able to find work for my new skills." He heads into the city and is soon lost among the crowds. Tsak and Mak take the lead and head to the tavern nearby the Rose. The group informs Ramsay that they plan on departing in the morning. The question is to where. The Petals enter the establishment and are met with many inquiring glances and hushed rumors. You find a table no problem and are greeted by a halfling waiteress, "What can I get for yas?" .

At his leisure he'll peruse the menu and grab a bite to eat. Probably some sort of roast with veges. Not the sort of thing the cook is going to be able to prepare during the voyage back toward the Taur Isles. When the beers arrive Tsak bumps glasses with Mak Get that inter yer sunshine.
The taciturn ranger then lapses into silence as he considers all that's occured in the short time the petals have been in Dirt City. The high of defeating the beholder followed by the immeasurable sadness of the loss of Rolth and Esmerelda. He stares into the nearby fire for a while, lost in his thoughts. One drink becomes two and then three, but he stops there. There is work to be done and they have a lead on the next phase of their hunt.

Tsak orders 6 ales for the table. He toasts and orders some roasted veggies. His thoughts wandered to those not with them anymore and the events that took place in the city.
Falco finds the ordering of 6 drinks depressing. He digs into his fried chicken.
Elyas makes an allegory to a flower losing its petals. He eats and drinks but its distinctly different from when they came here when they first arrived in the city. He looks forward to leaving this city.
Kiwina asks Mak what ideas he had for Rolth's commemoration.
Mak toasts to Rolth. He follows up with a question about the group name.
Tsak follows the toasts with a big gulp from his cup, however the substance that hits his tongue is not ale. It was enough to cause the hulking half-orc to spit it out and choke as his body and mind recover from the unexpected surprise. He peers into his mug and sees ale. He goes to take another drink, this one much slower but is met with the same horrid bitter taste. The waitress comes running over "What be your problem?" as she tries to towel off the floor and wipe down another patron that got caught in the spray. She offers them a free ale to keep trouble at bay.

Tsak is in shock at what just happened. He asks Mak to take a drink from his cup. He cautiously tries his food.
Mak explains his idea for Rolth's commemoration.
Falco adds his thoughts to Mak's while nibbling at their food.
Elyas likes this idea but his thoughts wander.
The waitress gives Tsak a look and heads back to get more rags. Mak takes the cup cautiously and takes a sip. The liquid contents are definitely alcohol and there is nothing weird about its taste. The same thing happens to Tsak if he tries to drink from any cup that contains alcohol. The night progress somberly. The next morning the crew has the Rose ready for take off. Ramsay asks, "Where we heading too?"
