Once Pru's had a chance to rest (not that she needs it), she sends forth a call to the planes for a new friend. She is answered by a shifting mass of fire and flame. Scorchy, eh? I guess that'll do.
Sigvar changes out some gear so he's not quite so hard to hit, but he feels sooooooo much more mobile. adamantine or mithril is fine. He also grabs some nosh for a chat with Q. There's some big work horses that could do the deed. Especially if we outfit them with some strengthening barding. If your belt can pump up your muscles, why can't a saddle do that for a horse!happy to give you a strong draft horse for traveling purposes. If you want to ride it to battle though, you'll need to spend some money for outfitting it.
Trayvin has deepened his spiritual connection with the world. He is able to sit and chat with the Clerics at the Citadel to help broaden theirs as well. Some real world perspective does wonders. Anna has also felt her connection to her patron grow after her solo reflection.
Pompous and Michael feel much more blinged out than before, at least once the receipts come through.
Nikolai empathizes with Commander Palance, but he doesn't hold back in his opinion of how she handled matters. You're right. I have some new procedures I'm working on to prevent this from reoccurring. I'll definitely be running them by you and the other Agents before I roll them out.

Sigvar answers that if they have a horse capable of carrying the large Minotaur then he was all for it figuring he would fit in with his Fistmates better if the mount were more 'normal'.

Nikolai files his report, with Commander Palance's addendum, with the Mailed Fist Archivist. When he returns, he sees the sacks of gold, his share of the loot, and starts planning a trip to the Catacombs.
He finds out Sigvar is looking for a suitable mount. He suggests that perhaps a trained War Ox would be a good fit. He's not aware of a means to enchant non-standard items with standard powers but a saddle cinch belt is a 'belt', right? If a 'belt' can be enchanted for strength or what-not, and the saddle belt is a 'belt', then why not?
Or perhaps a Permanent Enlarge spell on a large warhorse.
He makes those suggestions to Sigvar. "Although I think a War Ox or War Bison would look mighty intimidating and a better fit."

Anna returns and says to Nikolai and Sigvar, "Too bad I can only indefinitely stay in the form of small or medium animals. For about 2 periods of 14 minutes I can become a huge animal though but it sounds like Sigvar is looking for something with more permanence. If he needs a flying mount I could totally become a dragon."
Anna sees her gold pile and starts planning a catacombs trip of her own

After the first beer, Michael has another. the alcohol warming him but at the same time bringing forth the melancholy. He wonders how Tinker is doing. maybe he ought to go visit his friend. Now there was a fighting man. although he thinks that maybe Sigvar has him beat. He remembers Carver and wonders what he's doing now. Hope, quite the good looking girl, but she ran off rather than face the betrayer. Michael does not blame her. If he would have known how horrible it was going to be, he might have run off as well. That's a lie, he loved the fight, it just hurt to kill members of the Mailed Fist. William, Linden, so many friends, gone. Daisy. He feels foolish getting attached to that mule as he did, but she...she...he loved her. she was a yin to his yang. The straight man to his fool. His mind goes back to the little Eagle Company mage and the night they shared, last he heard she had mustered out and had moved back to Humble Ford. was there something there? or was she just in love with his legend.. Hero of the battle of this or that. he doesn't know. perhaps he is destined to be alone, to die one day on a battlefield somewhere, he smiles at that. as endings go it a lot better than being heartseeded. OOC I can quite confidently say Sigvar will not be ready by Monday. One of the things he is buying is a manual of quickness of action that will require time to study and use and he might still be in the catacombs by Monday. IC Sigvar pushes a wheelbarrow full of coin towards the Catacombs and prepares to make his purchases.

when Michael awakens that next day he is strangely clear headed. getting his demons out the night before always makes him feel better. he goes and finds the Fist Tanner and leather worker and talks to them about skinning and making armor from dragon hide. he still has 10 days of shrink spell on the dragon body.

OOC: Nikolai will not be totally ready by Monday. But will do for starters. Need to visit the catacombs but need to study what to buy. My WBL is a bit over the limit but since 90% of the 1-17levels we've been way UNDER the limit, I'm not worried. I'll just get some stuff that are consumed and in the end will even out.
IC: Nikolai has many ideas for Sigvar's mount but none that are actually practical. A huge bison or bull would be a good one, but a Minotaur riding a cousin? meh. A Rhino would be a good one but they are very temperamental. Etc.
"Well, Sigvar, perhaps a Figuring of Wondrous Power, of an Elephant or Rhino, that way you can put it away easily when not in use?"
For Nikolai, he is looking for items that will help in battles from his notes on the last battles, like something to see invisible things, and stuff like that.

Sigvar puzzles his way through the book he purchaed from the catacombs. When not reading it he can be seen in the practice yard testing out the skills mentioned in the book.
OOC I listed the stuff Sigvar is buying on his sheet already. I got skipped in the catacombs then after restating what I wanted the fellow behind the desk took off again so I may never get my transactions done.
In his left hand, he carries a new bow. Obviously a powerful item. Some would even say almost relic like in quality. On the shaft, the shape of a leaping rabbit can be seen burnt into the wood. The grip is wrapped in a rich black leather. The string crackles with electricity.
" This", he tells the others, " is Wabbit, my new bow. Wascaly Wabbit to my ennemies. She's accurate, strong, fast and has the same sparkling personality as my previous bow. We're going to have fun, Wabbit and I.. yes indeed... "
