After a few hours of reverie, Val rises looking a little more composed. She cleans herself and her armor while enjoying what food can be spared for the morning meal.

Romeo and the 23 young ladies and women who came with him begin to pour accross the clearing as you greet them and don't even bother saying much oif anything to any of you but head straight to the children. Only seconds pass when there is muttering heard and the oldest of the ladies comes back out and walks up to Ashira.

"What have you all done to them children? They ain't none of them making a sound. It's unnatural like."

Romeo make his way over to Rigging and is questioned immediately as to the status of the Sword, the camp and the snake.

"Well, Funny thing that. That snake did indeed make an apearance, but I reckon the sword is currently in better shape than she has been. Thomas, Is it? says that repairs should now be completed within two to three days, what with all the new help and materials.

He continues before Rigging can ask the obvious questions. Well like I said the snake did make an appearance, but it was after the two colony ships sent by your Jack and your Emperor, so currenlty the bay holds the quickly shrinking skeletons of two new ships. Very few people were killed and most of the supplies, equipment, and tools were saved. So now you have another 270 able men who appear to be here to start building a town and port. Right now though you have a huge work force with some very good salvaged ship timbers working on getting the sword seaworthy.

Very relieved to be rid of the children, Ashira looks up at the lady in mild annoyance. "We didn't do anything to them. That's the way they were when we found them in the temple. We're looking into whether it's some kind of spell that we can do something about, but we're not sure right now."

Ashira grits her teeth when she learns of the now ruined supply ships. That does it. That stupid sea snake is going to die! Standing by Rigging's side, Ashira looks at her husband. "Well, what are we going to do about the temple?" She sighs, mildly annoyed at the way things are working out. "Since everyone in the Wold seems to think we are keeping this cursed island as our base, maybe we should stick around and kill off all the Yuan Ti and that stupid sea snake..."

I have a plan for that snake! we must attach spears and stakes to the hull of the sword. we also kan make long sharp spears made of wood, long enough to pinch throught the snakes skin. We also can think of a ballista aiming downwards. A ring of waterbreathing and a ring of free movement will also help, then we can attack the snake on her own terrain. Well if this island will be our base we keep the temple set up an guard and kill any snake that comes through.

Rigging claps his hand to Romeo's shoulder and says, "You aren't a member of my crew but I would like to extend the invitation. Your a good man in a crunch and we will need your like in the future. Can I ask you to lead these ladies back to the ship with the young ones. I am going to try and turn off this pyramid as well and hopefully that will free the babies from the curse they are under."

Rigging will wave the Wildcards together and say, "OK now that our little problem is resolved, I think we should shut down this pyramid and move on to the mines. Keep hitting them while they are reeling.

Appolo, why don't you strip down your magic and see if you can remove some of those gems without blowing them up. That should shut down this beast without permanantly distroying it. I want the rest of us to move several hundred yards away so we don't suffer the ill effects of the magic discharge.

Then we move on to the mines."

Nodding at the ladies concern for the babies " we are trying to figure that out.....the Captain is gonna shut down the power to the pyramids....hopefully that works ....if not we will try and dispel the magic with powerful spells of our own"

Riggin makes his offer to Romeo, knowing that the man isn't going to leave his wives, children and people just when they need him most, but Rigging can see that the offer and sentiment were well accepted and appreciated.

"Well, You know captain, Were I any younger and felt the need for adventure I would mighty pleased to take up your offer, and honored I am to have had the chance to work with and aid you a little bit. But my place is here with my people. You do understand?"

Bart sketches out a plan for fighting the snake and Mykael paces and frets as he awaits the decision to hit the mines.

Apollo is given the directive to take apart the map and bring back what he can and tears off to do it, only to realize that once he gets in that all the other times the gems were removed once the map had fallen after the destruction of the central gem. These were still stuck in the map 10 feet over his head.

Rigging claps his hand on Romeo's shoulder and says, "Well it looks like we are going to be here for a while and their is always a place for you within our colony. Your knowledge of the island, your proven ability to survive are all assets I would like to tap in the future."

Rigging waits patiently for the explosion and hopes Appolo is alright.

Rigging calls Swirl to him and then heads over to Ashira. "Well it looks like we are going to be here for a while. I didn't expect the settlers so soon. Still things could be worse. We just need to rid the island of the snakes, shut down the other pyramids so they can't come back, build shelters, find enough food to feed hundreds of people, kill a giant snake...that could solve the food problem for a while, and live through all of it. Figure we can be done by lunch." Rigging says with a grin.

"Bart, I like your plan for dealing with the snake. Get together with Cosmo and see if you can work on some magical improvements to help out. Maybe summoning a bunch of sharks to attack at the same time."

Having made sure they were plenty far away from the Pyramid after Apollo headed in they await for some sign that something has happened, when the wait is fianally over as a hollow thwump, if more felt thn heard and then there is a major expellation of ash from inside the pyramid.

Inside the Pyramid, Apollo gets out his rope and grappling hook and makes quick work of hooking the main Diamond, with the same results as before. There is a bright flash of light, a looud bang and suddenly Apollo is being showered by thousand of diamond shards. 73 points damage, Reflex DC15 for 36 points.

After that the map once again sags toward the ground granting easier access to the 4 re the two coudy gray ones. There are also about 30 fragments of the exploded diamond that are recoverable and might have some value.

In the ashy light those outside can definitely see what looks to be a very well travelled path heading towrd the mountains. The assumption is made that the path leads toward the mine, but noone truly knows.

At least now we can move on and see if there is anyone left to save. I just hope that our delay hasnt doomed anyone.

Rigging will sprint towards the pyramid to check on his thief friend. He runs into the map room and takes a quick look around checking to see if Appolo is OK. He offers a potion of curing if the thief needs it. (OOC Since Appolo is a thief and has evasion, he might not.)

Rigging will then start collecting the gem fragments knowing that the other pyramid's has some valuable specimens. When that is done, he will head back outside and start leading the Wildcards towards the mines.

"Cosmo, do you want to fly ahead and scout the area. It would be helpful to check and see if this path leads to the mines."

Ari helps out with the other women. When the pyramid makes its 'whuff' sound from the explosion, Ari worries a little bit for Apollo. But when he sees Rigging head into the temple he hopes that everything is okay.

(ooc I'm really sorry about my missed posts. Chasing jobs and dreams and exercising, my routine is in chaos at this point. :) I would ask for a volunteer that wouldn't mind sending me a private email after they post to remind me to post. It is no one's job by my own to worry about my posting, but I don't want the game to suffer either. I enjoy the game and the story line and I want to stay and participate. OOC: I'm sorry guys. I agreed to do the post for Kent last night, but Autumn was throwing up all night. I apologize for not getting the post in last night.

Easily disabling the temple, Appolo comes out of the encounter unscathed and richer. (Sorry, Kent didn't give me the stats on the diamond chips.) Rigging rushes in to help out Appolo, but settles on scooping up diamond pieces.

Getting the women and children settled, Romeo says a few goodbyes and leads the oddly quiet group back into the jungle.

Apparently, Cosmo is not interested in doing a flying recon, but he does come up with some good suggestions for scouting the mine entrance After a few last minute preparations, the group heads down the well worn path. Remembering all the booby traps on the previous trails, the Wildcards are very cautious. Thankfully, the caution is unwanted, as no traps or even Yuan Ti are encountered along the way.

After about 15 minutes of travel the path opens into a shaft. Cosmo casts his spell, and several (Cosmo, please roll for the number of eyes produced) of the small little constructs float down the shaft. (Cosmo, please specify what instruction you are giving to the eyes, including on what condition you want them to return and report).

Like most of the others, Ashira waits on the report from Cosmo's eyes. She also keeps an eye out on the surroundings. This felt too easy, and Ashira is ready for the trap to spring (Spot=15, Listen=26).

Cosmo sends out his eyes and they head down various shafts zipping about to do their duty.

Rigging ponders the Volcano, which is nowhere visible. By the maps you would guess that the three volcanoes marked are an easy 15-20 miles deeper into the mountains.

The others look to Rigging for plans about the mines and watch each other waiting for something......

After five minutes 8 of Cosmo's eyes return, most with information that is of no help as they found nothing to report. However the last eye reports finding a bunch of creatures that fit the description.

As Cosmo watches he sees a large cavern, with maybe 5 otr six groups of five individuals digging and raking and about 2 larger creatures standing behind or near each work group.

from the visions and reports, Cosmo can deduce that there are between 20-25 human sized beings and at least 10 other much larger sized creatures in the same cavern. It does seem that the smaller group is supervising or overseeing the smaller groups.

Nez casts a few spells on folks and rigging casts his mage armor, and the group is off down the right tunnel and always seeming to go down and to the left after that.

After four left forks and a drop of about 200 ft on a fairly sttep slant, the Swords approach what appears to be a very large cavern. The sounds of digging, muttering and whip cracks can be heard.

Cosmo, I want you to start summoning now so your creatures arrive in conjunction with our attacks or you can enlarge some of them. (Figure 2 rounds of spell casting. As soon as Rigging is done casting Appolo moves quickly forward.Moving Silently and with speed Appolo closes with the nearest ABominations,Swords drawn and ready to strike once the rest of the group appears.Appolo will back stab said abomination as soon as the attack begins he wants to be in position before the others move.

Rigging comes into the cavern and decides to try and end things quickly. He will quickly scan the room, looking for any abominations that he might recognize. Rigging steps in and no more fire reigns down encouraging the other Swords to enter as well. He then casts a spell picking one of the YT as none look like spell users or look familiar. his ray leaps out and strikes #4, bathing him in green for a moment and eliciting a scream, but overall the beast doesn't look too bad. Fort save DC 22

The human slaves don't seem to register the presence of the intruders and continue working.

Apollo makes his move and gets behind #8 ready for his attack.

Cosmo sends in his Apes and they immediately attack the YT both causing some damage.

At the explosion of fiery light The YT, all abominations, turn toward the opening Half of them raising and drawing their bows releasing a flight of arrows at the entering swords.

#1 lets fire two arrows at Val Hitting AC 28 and 26 for 13 and 12 points

#3 lets fly two arrows as well at Rigging AC 40 & Ac 32 for 12 & 12 points

Val takes the burning light and the piercing arrows without a grimmace of pain. She leaves the arrows jutting out from her body, the smell of burn flesh stining her nostrils. Val runs forward, flail jingling off the floor and it bounces along. The flail comes up fast and hard in an uppercut motion, right under the monsters jaw.

(ooc I'm assuming 2 rounds of casting per Riggings original post. With working all day and services in the evening I did not get the chance to post before Kent did in the evening. I'm asking for the spells alter self and shield to have gone off. IF not just let me know and I'll adjust accordingly.)

Ari tries to help the fighters out by adding some arrows to #4. Evidently the running target is a new concept for Ari as only one arrow hits (AC 10, 12, 9 and 22 (no crit)) for 2 points of damage.

Mumbling under his breath Ari watches in anticipation as the enemy approaches. If he can stay free to use arrows and spells, maybe his recent luck will change.

The YT's AC are 23:

Appolo completes his sneak attack succesfully and YT #8 falls to the ground in a pile of bloody scales. (Chris: check your attack numbers and damage numbers please, they do not match what I have on your PC sheet.)

The apes continue their attacks and manage a few more strikes, and Cosmo begins to cast anew.

Val ignores her wounds and burnt flesh, charges the largest YT in the room and lays into #7 with a vengence, connecting solidly with her attack.

Ari having cast his spells tries to return the favor of the arrows but has less success than the YT and connects only once.

Bart too leaps forward and attacks the YT nearst to him and connects solidly on #2.

Rigging, not liking the feeling of being a pin cushion casts a quick spell and 7 more Riggings appear.

Ashira moves and attack #9 but as she was trying to keep track of Appolo she realizes that he is invisible and that throws her so much that she misses her attack as YT blood flies everywhere and a YT nearby mysteriously falls to the ground.

Nez casts a darkness spell and suddnely noone can see very well in or out of his spelled area.

Mykael, and John stunned by all the activity simply stand slackjawed.

Having been left with only two truly visible targets YT bowmen 1, 3, 5, & 6 let fly with another round of arrows.

Running through the darkness with his enhanced speed, Mykael moves forward. He moves to engage #1 since no one else has gotten there first and the bow appears pretty effective.

Mykael's first attack sinks home with some effect, however, his next two miss there mark, since the Yuan Ti is prepared for him.

Rigging sees his friends in trouble and moves forward to the edge of the darkness and summons his magic once again. 3 beams lance out and strike his first foe #4 all three hitting.

Satisfied that the darkness spell is holding back the enemy archers from shooting the spell casters the 9'11" dwarf charges forward out of the darkness to cover Val's flank attacking snake #4(move to k8)(charging-full rd action pg 154 phb)

Nezamil's large mace lashes out and smashes the snake (#4)at the end of his charge(d20+17=37)(nat 20!! crit hit !! )(d20+17=29 made it !! woohoo!! ).....hearing his mace crunch into the beast and gore splatter (2d6(4+4)+7=15 damage)(2d6(3+3)+7=13 damage)(double damge for crit hit)(total 28 damage) the big dwarf growls " ya wormy beast how's dat feel?"

Val's body shudders as arrows slam into it. If not for the arrows hitting her on either side she would have hit the ground. The pain was intense. Spikes of agony shot through her body each time one of the many arrow shafts touched something. Her footing was unstable as the ground was becoming slick with her own blood. Gritting her teeth Val smashes her flail into the snake man, determined to take one of them with her.

Ashira is able to recover from her previous near fumble and connect with the snake as it draws back for its second shot. She then proceeds to methodically chop the snake into little tiny bloody pieces.

Mykael snaps out of his momentary stupor and sprints across the cavern to engage #1 and connects with his first and only attack (full move - even hasted)

Rigging and his mirror images move forward and into the light where thay all seem to send rays of light tearing into #4. Almost at the same time an ape appears adding his own special chaos and Nez reaches over the top and clobbers the snake as well. This combined assault send the YT crumbling to the ground.

Ari changes tactics and sends some magic streaking #3's way and is pleased as they strike home with precision.

Apollo moves up behind Val's other opponent and strikes swiftly and silently letting blood flow freely from the snake's back.

Bart launches an all out assault on his foe and drops the beast to the gorund.

The other two apes keep up their assault on their opponent and tear a few more chunks out of its side.

Cosmo checks the height of the ceiling (20 ft) and turns himself into a pixie.

Val works through the pain, if barely, and manages an effective attack on her opponent and with that, and Apollo's timelt attack, the big snake falls to the ground with a thud.

#1 drops his bow and draws his sword as Mykael attacks and retalliates with his own sword play, connecting twice AC 29 & 34 on the human for 19 points damage

#3, 5, & 6 seem to have lost interest in what was happening to their fellows and seem to be turning away from the combat. Then as the screams begin, the Swords realize what they are doing. They are systematically butchering the human slaves.

#10 continues his attack on the ape connecting with both attacks ACs 41 & 37 for 10 points damage and 7 non lethal damage.

Mykael steps aside and casts web (randomly assiging target as none of the YT are close enough together to be caught in a 20 ft radius spread 3&5 50 ft, 3&6 60 ft, 5&6 85 ft)(target #3) and a bunch of web engulfs the beast and spreads out across the floor and up the wall as Mykael tries to avoid catching any of the slaves it it as well.

Ari casts his grease spell and a 10 ft square section of the floor surrounding #5 is grease saturated.

Cosmo and Rigging cast scorching rays at #3 and #5 respectively and watch with satisfaction as they strike their intended targets.

Apollo moves efficiently behind #1 and attacks causing damage to his newest target.

Ashira nad Bart both rush #6 leavig them momentarily open to attacks of opportunity and then lay into the beast each causing some damage to the previously uninjured YT.

Watching her last foe fall infront of her and seeing that things for the moment are in hand Val takes a moment to kneel down and catch her breath and watch the bllod flow freely from her multitude of wounds.

Nez booms out his command spell at the two snakes he is currently facing toward.

The two YT that Nex commands hesitate for a second and then continue with what they were doing Will saves 29 & 20

#1 attacks Mykael hitting twice Ac 45 crit, threat AC 27 (no crit) and AC 36 for 25 points

#6 takes and attack of opportunity on both Ashira AC 41 for 14 points and Bart AC 31 for 12 points as they move in to attack and then goes into full attack mode. launching himslef at Ashira (Bart is now flanking) connecting two more times AC 30 & 34 for 21 points of damage.

#5 makes his balance check and slowly walks through the grease toward the slaves where he proceeds to kill two more slaves.

# 3 seems to be firmly caught in the webbing and at this juncture is immobile. (-5 AC)

#10 bleeding from a number of wounds once again attacks the Ape connecting two more times AC 40 & 30 for 14 points damage and 8 points non lethal damage

Down to one knee Val drops her flail to the ground. Breathing heavily she reaches back and pulls her bow from the quiver on her back. She wouldn't be moving fast anytime soon. It was hard to draw breath and her legs were weak. Val tried not to wince from the simple motion of reaching back.

Rigging will see Abomination 5 killing slaves and turn his attention on to him since 3 seems to be tied up in the web. Running out of spells, Rigging decides to waste one of his better ones on the fiend.

He summons his magic and casts a cone of cold upon the Yuan-ti trying to avoid hitting the other slaves, apes etc. He has a spell resistance of 23 and does 34 points of damage to the creature or 17 if he makes a reflex save of 20.

"Lets mop these things up and free these poor humans. Kill them quickly and lets get out of here!"

OOC: Kent, how did #6 get an AoO on Ashira? All she did was move in and attack. She did not move out of a threatened space. To the best of my knowledge, you don't draw an AoO for moving into a threatened space. I'm really confused.

William, I saw that you spring attacked and yet you did not designate that you moved five feet after your attack and where you ended up as is required. You merely posted that you "Bart yells and run forwards to #6 spring attacking him (threat crit for 27+1)"(p100 PHB)

Nellie these are creatures with a 10 ft reach hence why they are the same size as Nez. As such you must pass through their reach in order to even attack them giving them an attack of opportunity. (p150 PHB)

Val draws her bow and then feels the healing touch of Domi course through her as Nez heals some of her wounds.

Ari again tries to utilize his bow and finds that his skills with it aren't as sharp as they have been and sends his arrows wide and high.

Ashira and Bart decimate the Yt they are facing and Apollo drops his as well.

Mykael's web comes of and wih some judicious planning places it so the only live thing caught in it is the YT.

The apes connect and #10 falls leaving the webbed duo YTs 3 & 5 remaining and they do not look happy.

Just then a cone of cold is cast by Rigging rendering the fate of #5 a moot quesstion.

Bart spring attacks the last snake (at E3) making sure he makes a 5 feet movement AFTER his attack (ending in F2), so he knows his spring attack action is allowed to be made power attack+4 (crit ac 24 for 22+24+4shock)
Still find it not coorect staing bart makes a springattack includes the fact that bart makes a few steps backwards until now it was never a problem

Between ice, lightening, apes and attacks the last YT is literally decimated. And through out all of this the humans slaves have continues digging into the dark coal like rock, not even paying attention when their fellows were slaughtered beside them.

The Swords regroup in the center of the cavern to check everyone's status before deciding what to do next. Except for Cosmo who starts looking around for some other possible exit that they didn't see before. Looking throughout the entire cavern takes him a while, but after several minutes he does find a rectangular area of rock that is slightly different in color than the rest of the cavern.

The healing magic courses through her disrupting her shot. The pain lessened and an arrow popped free of her body, but only one. It didn't hurt to draw breath anymore so that was a good thing. She was down to resting on both knees now, one hand supporting all her weight as she struggled to return her bow to its enchanted pocket. Val turned and rolled onto her back, glad to be laying down. She took hold of an arrow and grunted as she tore it free, sending a squirt of blood into the air.

Rigging will look on in satisfaction as he sees the last snakeman slump in death. He will move over and do a detect magic to scan the area for magic taking a close look at the slaves to see if they are under some kind of enchantment.

"Mykael and Cosmo please check out the slaves and see if you can get them to stop digging. Nezamil, please tend to our wounds, who knows if this battle is done.

Ashira and Val, once you have been healed, check out what Appolo has found. Looks like another entrance or exit. Appolo you check the area for traps while you are waiting, but don't rush ahead. Don't want to lose anyone now."

Rigging will also take a hard look at the Yuan-ti dead to see if they have any magic. He will start looting some bodies to see if they have valuables.

Mykael moves in, the frustration is playing out in a combination of misty eyes and an angered heart.

He moves up beside the last human slowly and carefully, eyeing the fallen humans as he goes. Quickly sticking out a hand, he stops the only human remaining from lifting his pick axe. Looking into his eyes, he plainly states, "The snakes are gone, you can stop." He looks for recognition in the humans eyes.

Rigging "looks" around at each of the YT and ultimately find two bows that are at least masterwork along with three other bows. five shortsords and whips and five nice longswords of at least master work. Near each work group there is a bucket each of which is filled to some degree with daimonds. The workers when touched flinch and will cautiously look up at Mykael. Their eyes look glazed over as if they have been drugged to a dull stupor.

Apollo joins Cosmo at what appears to be a hidden door and declares that it is trap free.

Cosmo has the apes try and bash it in and it doesn't take much and soon there is a smaller room visible through the door. Inside the room are three chests and 4 small sacks.

Mykael slowly takes the pick axes from the hands of the humans.

"Follow me," he states calmly, but firmly enough to get recognition and action.

As the all the loot is grouped up, Mykael comments, "I can cast a spell that will create a floating disc to transport all of it. However, it will only last for a few hours."

Rigging smiles when he sees the secret room with the treasure. He will hold anyone else from going in so he can check it for magic and magical traps. He will first study the doorway itself and then the room, finally concentating on the chests and bags. If nothing comes up, Rigging will give Appolo the go ahead to check them out for traps and locks and to open them up.

Rigging will then collect the diamonds from the buckets to the ones he has collected from the various temple explosions and the one ones he found in the baskets.

"So Appolo, what did you find in the chests. Cosmo check out the room, we still need to find out how they snakemen are controlling that giant sea snake out in the bay."

Rigging will listen to the tall cleric and say, "I do have a dispel magic handy and I am willing to try it, but they might be drugged and not under the influence of a spell. If that is the case, you might have to nuetralize the drugs with your divine magic"

Rigging will have all the surviving slaves gathered into one group and cast a dispel magic on them.

Rolled 8 times to affect the spells on them if necessary. Not sure how many slaves are left.

Ashira thanks Nezamil for his healing. While waiting for the others to finish up their examination of the other room, she looks over at Mykael and the slaves. It wasn't all that long that she cared for other people like he does. What has happened to her? Ga'al and the heartseed.... No, it was too easy to blame other people and push off her anger. To be sure, that event had gone a long way in shaping who she was. But there was something nibbling in the back of her mind... How 'bout you? How have you chosen to respond to this? Never one for philosophy, Ashira shakes her head. That was definately a thought for another time and place...preferably in the distant future. She moves over to Val and puts a hand on her shoulder. "You want me to pull those out? The longer they're in there, the better the chance of them festering."

Since someone brought it up, Ari looks over the slaves to see if there's any sign of drugs or other natural things that might explain their condition. (11 was natural role, just not sure which skill it might be)

Rigging checks out the hidden room for magic and finds nothing in the way of what appear to be magical traps.
* The two sacks radiate no magic at all.
* The first chest shows a faint aura of conjuration.
* The second chest is very well built and shows nothing of any sort of magical presence.
* The third chest is almost identical to the second, but there is the slightest aura of something magical but it is hard to tell if maybe it is spell residue or something else.

After herding the slaves together , Mykael takes a look at them and he is fairly sure there is nothing of a magical nature wrong with them. He then conjures up a floating disk.

Bart moves in with the slaves to try and rouse them up a little , but has no effect what-so-ever.

Cosmo releases the remaining apes and then continues to check out the cavern, but not finding anything else of interest finds his way to the entry a takes sentry duty.

Nez is also fairly sure that they are not under the influence of any magic and Ari takes a look and decides that some sort of drug or poison that will need to be either neutralized or work its way out of their systems is the cause of their discomfort. Nez casts another healing spell and all the slaves wounds seem to be vanish without a trace. They are more physically active and healthey but still glassy-eyed and docile.

Ashira gets introspective and then pulls the rest of Val's arrows out just before Nez casts his spell.

Apollo gets to work checking things out and finds that there are no traps on anything.

The sacks turn out to contain more diamonds, bringing the party's diamond total to near a butt load.

The chests however prove to be a bit more challenging, for a second or two as he quickly opens each.

Chest one has five rows of ten, what look to be pale blue potions.

The next two chests once open reveal that they are lined with a soft gray metal on all sides.

Chest two contains:
1 amulet
1 headband
1 periapt
1 pair of gloves
and 1 nice pearl on a chain

Chest three contains:
1 single glove
Another periapt
and a mumified hand on a leather loop.

After all the loot is examined, Ashira offers to pack some out with her. Then she turns to Rigging. "Let's get out of here. We need to check on the Sword and finish up the repairs. And then we have some decisions to make."

Rigging takes his share of treasure and says to Mykael, "Looks like you are going to have some work to do in the future. Your first order of business is to identify the value of all these gems when we get back to the Sword."

Rigging will be sure to collect any weapons he sees as well as the gems, knowing the refugees will need weapons in the future.

"Nezamil and Mykael have sheepdog duty to make sure that these exslaves don't wander. I want Appolo and Ashira on point with Val and Bart in the rear. Both groups should have about 25' of seperation. I will take top duty since I can still cast an overland fly spell. Cosmo, and Ari. I want you with the refugees as well but not herding so much as guarding our flanks."

Rigging quickly writes a note telling Thomas of their success and ETA and hands it to Swirl. He then casts his spell and takes off into the air calling Swirl to him. "Nice day for a fly buddy. I will do slow circles around the group below looking for trouble. You take this note to Thomas and let him know we are coming.

Once Rigging has cleared the treeline he will take a good look at the volcano to see if it is still erupting.

Feeling better now that the arrows are out and the last wave of magic further healed her deep wounds. The bad thing about arrows were they hurt worse when pulled out. Val moves to the back of the line where she decides to stick with her bow instead of the heavy flail. This way if there is trouble at the front of the line she can still do something.

Mykael helps to load the chests and loot on the disc.

"I suggest you wait to try and neutralize the drug. We may have more important use for your magic before we make it back to the ship. And we are not sure how they will react once they are no longer under its effects. Since we dont know how long they have been under it. If its been a long time and we dont know how much they know or remember, a time lapse or ill effects from the drug may cause them to act irrationally. It would be better, in my opinion, to help them after we have them under that safety of the ship and among others they may know."

Mykael keeps track of the slaves and moves them along with the group while the disc magically follows him.

Lets go Ghem, another walk through the jungle.
