It’s hard to tell whether his perpetually spotless black robes or decided scholar look about this young man first clues you in to his profession. But even on the first inspection, there can be no doubt that Redux is a spellcaster. Despite the medium build Redux sports, it is obvious that he is not suited to strenuous physical activity. With his meticulously clean-shaven face and his equally meticulous attention to cleanliness, the young man has a definite “soft” look about him.

Personality

Though slightly chaotic Redux has a decidedly optimistic outlook on life. Being extremely introverted, it is very difficult to draw Redux out of his shell. If left to his own devices, the young man spends almost all of his time involved in in-depth magical research, or interacting with his familiar Talon. Although he almost never places himself in harms way, Redux has developed a small taste for the adventurer’s life during his time with the Pirates of Jack.

History

Born the middle child of an well-to-do family, Redux was never exposed to manual labor. The young man had a natural flare for attention to detail, and soon became a valuable member of the family’s exotic spice business. During some of his frequent business trips, the young man came into contact with an elven spellcaster named Vesta. A working relationship developed quickly between the two, and Vesta found an eager and talented student in the adolescent. Confidence flourished between the two, and Redux soon found himself a member of the clandestine Aisildurian mainland resistance known as the Jills.

Having been implanted with the heartseed organism himself, he learned the need for continual treatments to keep the creature dormant. Redux then secretly devoted himself to creating a cure for the parasite that was forced upon the Aisildurians.

Redux met up with his current adventuring party while one a mission to obtain spores that he believed to be the key ingredient to the heartseed cure. The spores were eventually procured and analyzed by Vesta. Unfortunately, the spores were not as effective as hoped. Left to his own devices for the time being, Redux decided to join up with the small band adventures.

Through the short time period he has been with the “family”, Redux has begun to develop a taste for the adventuring life. He feels indebted to the party after being miraculously freed from the heartseed organism by Alemi’s miraculous waters. And for the first time in his life, Redux is beginning to build tentative relationships with this motley band of adventurers.
