Appearance:

Figmentary is well-groomed to an extreme. His clothes always fit perfectly and he seems to never be messed up. When coming in from long travels he still normally looks dressed well enough to go out on the town. He dresses perfectly for every occasion and is very perfunctory and precise in his manners and diplomacy. He is clearly cultured and “well-bred” but he is not haughty.

Personality:

Figmentary does well in crowds. He is friendly and kind most times. He seems to get pretty angry and operates with no mercy when dealing with evil, but otherwise seems like a very agreeable person most times. He’s very focused on his interests, which are quite varied.

History:

Figmentary comes from a family of some note and he has distinguished himself in many ways. One of the more peculiar things about him is his diverse interest in several areas. He loves horses and riding. He has raised his steed Jux from a colt – he is a 4th generation stallion from the finest breed in the land. He gains great the joy from crafting leather and clothing from materials he creates himself. His affinity for gourmet food – homemade of course - is second to none. Designing and building things always gets his blood pumping.

His love for magic seems to conflict upon initial observation with all these things but somehow they meld together to form a very interesting fellow. He is highly intelligent and can learn just about anything quickly. He is friendly but as can be seen from his skills and loves, he keeps mostly to himself. But he does enjoy preparing meals for groups.

Some of his accomplishments are logged and noted in some of the major cities around his province because he has consulted on many building projects. These include bridges, dams, public buildings, and personal homes. He was really becoming famous for his many culinary talents as he was a chef for a short time in the Eagles Loft, one of the most posh and exclusive restaurants in ?????! Many noblemen still regularly ask for several of his creations.

One thing his family is well known for is its talent in leather goods and clothing. Figmentary is an excellent weaver of fine cloth and creator of fashionable clothing of both noble and common background.

For many years he was forbidden to visit one particular uncle – who had “Gone off the deep end” so his father would say (he despised magic). But Figmentary had loved his uncle all his life and as fate would have it, he secretly wrote and communicated with his uncle for years. It was through this correspondence that his first interest in the arcane arts was formed. At first it was just a diversion from his regular life. It was finally something that was challenging for the young man – as all things just came amazingly easy for him. When his father finally discovered what Figmentary had been doing he gave him a choice: Quit corresponding with Flavious and live a life of fine luxury and fame – or get out. Figmentary pleaded with his father to allow him to continue to communicate since it was the first time he had ever really been happy. His father flatly refused not believing Figmentary would leave – but he was wrong.

In anger Figmentary left and lived with his uncle. Together they learned the arcane art of magic and its many intricacies. He quickly outstripped his uncle in every aspect of magical study and with pride Flavious declared that he could not teach Figmentary any longer. At this point it became clear that for Figmentary to grow any farther he would have to leave and seek his own destiny. So he has…

Figmentary’s father has yet to relent from his position and so he continues – as an exile. But he still loves his family. He has changed his name to protect his family from his decision of pursuing magic.
