Zeoll's Berrywreath
This wreath, made of a living tendril of a magical plant,
grows 15 goodberries a day. Each goodberry lasts for but a day. Picking and
eating (or giving away) up to eight berries is a standard action.
However, anyone who dons the wreath and does not have the Woodland Stride
class ability is entangled by the tendril (as the Entangle spell). An
entangled wearer moves at half speed, cannot run or charge, and takes a -2
penalty on all attack rolls and a -4 penalty to Dexterity. An entangled
character who attempts to cast a spell must make a Concentration check (DC 15
+ the spell's level) or lose the spell. And each round an entangled character
must make a Reflex Save vs DC 11 or be rooted to the ground and unable to move
for that round. Once the wreath has entangled a wearer, it can be removed only
by means of a remove curse spell, a wish, a miracle, or by any character with
the Woodland Stride ability.
Note that the wreath must be watered and exposed to light and fresh air at
least every other day. If not, after two days the item wilts, becoming
nonfunctional until cared for. After a week without care, the item dies.
