Cat girls are easy!

DM Shane

Leskni returns from her night with Eclyndryl, tired, but little the worse for wear. The initial meeting is to take place at noon, and true to form, Gaston wishes you to escort him to the meeting. Does everyone show up to escort? split up? What's up? there has been a lot of discussion about what where and how, but now it's time to get down to brass tacks. The clock is ticking down to noon, and the deal hinges on Face and security....how does the party respond?

Carver (John C) AC 16, AC 18 with shield, CMB 6, CMD 17, HP 48/48 Speed 65 Character Sheet

Carver fully armors, making sure every thing is shiny. He even wears the tabbard. He arrives at Gaston's room 15 minutes before meeting time, leaving loads of time for Gaston to reach the meeting room.
Carver, if he's alone will walk along side of Gaston, if he has company, he allows one of the others the honor of walking next to Gaston. He plans on having Gaston arrive one a minutes before the meeting starts.

"Morning Gaston, We will time your arrival at the meeting room, so you arrive no more than one minute before it's set to start. This should give you the appearance of promptness and accuracy. Thus allowing you to project those qualities into the deal you with to conclude. As you know being known as Accurate is always desirable in a trading partner. So is being prompt, because on time deliveries can be vitally important if trading partners are doing business over long distances."

With military precision, Carver makes sure they leave on the time table he has set.....

Seeing that the role of lackey is not going to produce any results....

Armand is with Carver when he goes to speak to Gaston. Diplomacy 16 (d20+10 however, I just looked over my character sheet on diplomacy is only a 9) "Mr. Laroutte, we are here to ensure that the neutrality of the tree is respected by all parties. You may have one aid accompany you to the meeting. I'm sure your men-at-arms, will need to rest after guarding your august person through such a harrowing journey from Plateau City." Armand pauses. "However, I'm not sure you necessarily want us present during your trade negotiations. Unless of course you feel uneasy in dealing with Drow. In which case we can negotiate on whom among us would be best suited to stay in the room with you. For a further fee I can also provide a spell of truthfulness to the negotiations, should both parties be willing, but that would not be available until tomorrow."

Armand continues in a more chatting manner. "I assume your talks are over trade goods?" Sense Motive 27 (d20+10) on his response/answer.

Armand makes sure the Drow team knows to inform their 'escorts' of the one aid rule.

He will also inform Miles and Laughingwater of the one aide in the room plan. Miles may need to make sure the men-at-arms of both parties don't get to rambunctious in the tavern.

OOC, not sure of procedure during trade talks, is Laughingwater present to ensure the Tree's 10%?

Owen finds Leskni: "It will be best, I think, if we join the drow for this day of negotiations."

Under the circumstances, Leskni will go to the Drow. She will talk to Eclyndryl

"Good morning. My group has been tasked with the security of your meeting and we mean to ensure that no violence happens from any source. In the interests of everybodies security we are restricting the meeting to you, your counterpart Gascon, and one aide apiece. Your guards and Gascons guards should remain in their quarters. If you or Gascon wish some of us to be present in the meetings we are willing to be there, but if you both prefer privacy we will happily allow that as well, although we will stay near in case of any trouble.

I'll return in 15 minutes to escort you to the meeting."

Not at all sure if it is necessary but I got a diplomacy check of 25.

After hearing Leskni's story of the drow, I do feel sorry for Eclyndryl. "Seems like a great fit for Gaston! Actually, I pity her, as it seems she hasn't known any different; whereas Gaston seems to openly choose his path." Deep down, I do feel as if she could be saved given the chance. I don't have the same feeling towards Gaston. Not much anyway. Well, maybe just slightly.

I was up all night, so planned on getting some sleep during the day. I don't show up with either party, but do my best to wake up around Noonish to get cleaned up and show up late, without any major concerns. If I end up oversleeping quite a bit though, I'm not overly concerned about that either. ;)
