Tink alternates between running on the ground and flying. She's sure there are things here that can fly faster than she can, but perhaps she can outrun (or out maneuver them) at ground level.

Garret moves as quickly as he can, moving to the front of the group, ready to deal with anything that appears in front of them. He figures the slower of the group can help keep up the rear guard while he ensures the passage is clear to the front.

Keep up the pace! If they start getting too close we can drop a few pieces of loot for them to fight over to buy us more time, but we should have an advantage since they are worn out from racing to the tower.

As the monsters trapped within the city converge upon the tower our heroes flee.

Restlin casts fly on Bosk, the mystal does not seem to notice. He then runs super fast so that he is a blur on the ground.

Tink alternates flying and running.

Garrett moves out in front ready to interdict anything that might attack them from the front.

Beri darts as fast as he can urging the others to keep the pace.

Zane picks up Beri and asks Sesha a question over the link.

Bosk flies along.

Nothing seems to be in your immediate vicinity but it seems like something did notice you a globe of searing radiance explodes in the middle of theA group spreading in 160 foot radius (Spellcraft : DC 33 Highlight to display spoiler: {- sunburst; weird b/c radius is normally 80 feet})

(DC 22 reflex save or take 22 damage and be blinded; save for half; drow take double damage)

The heat is on, seems like this is going to be a running battle to escape from the Elven City.

Garret glances back for a moment to ensure everyone is moving along when the sunburst shows up. He quickly turns his head and flies down for a moment, completely avoiding the massive blast. He continues leading the way as quickly as he can, still ready to plow into anything that blocks their way and he ponders if this is all an elaborate trap from the evil queen that will lead to a massive dead-end and their quick death.

Restlin quickly zips behind cover & is spared the worst of the sunburst spell (spellcraft: 36). He stops just long enough to identify anyone who was blinded by the spell, and to make sure Mhalice and Sesha are still standing.

Once he's sure everyone's ok, it's time to get moving again. If he spots someone who's blinded, he'll do what he can to guide them. If necessary, he'll have Shiny cast bull's strength on him so he can carry someone while airborne.

Zane sees the spell start to form, and between closing his eyes and tucking his face into the crook of his elbow he manages not to get blinded and he allows his monk training to react in responce to the flash of heat and lets it slide past without hurting him.
He also looks to see if anyone else got blinded and will help shepard them the right direction....

Beri feels the searing heat against his stony flesh, the heat burns more intense than he would have thought in his stony form. His eyes monetarily close from the pain... the light does not effect his dark vision so he hopes he can still see just fine when he opens them again, but one can never tell with magic, especially in this place.

Tink is fortunate that she happened to see the globe form, shielding her eyes just in time.

Luck may have been with them. Was she just enough in Beri's line of sight to shield him as well?

"I've never seen a sunburth spell THAT strong before." Something then occurs to Tink "It's possible that 8th and 9th levels spells could exceed the normal laws of magic here, and be turned all the way up to 10th level"

Sesha keeps one eye on Mhalice and one in front of her. Then comes that light. That incredibly bright light! Even though she resisted the worst of it, she was still blinded for a moment, and she was sure Mhalice would be too.

"Yea Beri. She said she'd meet my terms if we rescued her."

Her voice in the link is aggravated and strained. She suddenly changes the subject.

"This light spell, it's painful for those with eyes like mine. I avoided the worst of it, but it's going to take a moment for me to readjust. Mhalice too, I'm sure."

Sesha calls out to the other dark elf.

"Mhalice! Your eyes? Are you okay?

(Note that even with a successful save, Sesha (and presumable Mhalice) have Light Blindness, so are blinded for a round no matter what. Used a Hero point to pass the save, along with Restlins "Boyfriend Bonus".)

Garret encourages everyone to move out when the light burst shows up. He manages to avoid the blast completely.

Sesha answers Beri saying that Mhalice would meet the terms if rescued. The dark elf is momentarilly blinded by the spell.

Mhalice manages to avoid the brunt of the light blast but like Sesha still is effected. Both dark elves do have a round of light blindness. "I avoided the worst of it, but the weaponized light still has me at a slight disadvantage."

Restlin also avoids the majority of the blast but notices Sesha's and Mhalice's difficulties & helps them.

Zane also avoids the blast thanks to his monk training. He helps Restlin shepherd Sesha and Mhalice.

Tink manages to notice the globe forming and manages to avoid the worst of it. She also manages to heroically step in front of Beri to blunt the effect a little.

Beri almost was blinded by the searing light but Tink manages to spare him from the worst of it.

While the rest of the party attempts to help the two dark elves move on their way a globe of cold energy exploding into a 80 foot radius burst for 48 cold damage (reflex DC 20 for half DC 31 spellcraft Highlight to display spoiler: {freezing sphere})

Looks like the party is still clear from any melee assailants at the moment but the party is still taking ranged fire.

"Move it or lose it, Beri! Tink tugs on Beri's arm to move just that little bit quicker. In doing so she feels the cold blast at her back. How she would love to cast another wall of force to cover them, but unfortunately she'd used today's one up.

Garret senses more than he feels the approaching blast of cold and manages to move quickly around a twisting corner of the passageway to avoid the blast entirely (Reflex: 28). He renews his efforts to move quickly, hoping that this passage does indeed come out near where the satyrs were waiting. Garret is hoping to get there, secure the exit, then usher everyone else through while he guards the escape hatch.

Restlin swoops away from the worst of the freezing sphere (spellcraft: 35), but he's hurting. They keep this up, they won't make it. He looks back to see who's attacking them, then throws up a wall of force between them and the Iron Adventurers. He makes it as close to the IA as possible to maximize the length of time it's between us and the bad guys.

He turns to Sesha. "Hey dollface, got any healing magic available? Kinda busy stopping these things from killing us."

"I gave you a potion not 20 minutes ago! It's unbecoming of my Mage Priest to show such a lack of resourcefulness!"

She punches him in the arm with a small fist, which incidentally, also delivers a cure spells strong enough to let him save him potion for later.

"Restlin, quick! Give me your rod!"

As soon as she says it, Sesha blushes.

"Of quickened spells I mean! Not your stupid other rods you may or may not be thinking about! I want to summon the girls to channel and heal us as we run. And why isn't the Mythal giving our pursuers extra squid heads or something! Gah!"

Zane easily evades the exploding snowball, still carrying one of his friends, he maneuvers and grabs Mhalice, He then using what cover he can, flys as quickly as he can in the direction of their exit.

Thanks Tink, you're a life saver! Anyone know how far away we are from the exit?
Beri jumps out of the way just as the blast hits, missing the worst of the attack.
Not that it changes much, if we can't survive this run we aren't going to do well standing our ground while a small army reinforces them.

As the first attack explodes Bosk reaches out and grabs the shadows around him and enfolds it around himself, slipping partially into the shadows. (Darkwalk, supernatural ability that should not be affected).

Quickly he looks around to see the dimensions of the tunnel to see if his feather token boat or anchor would be big enough to block the path and slow down any pursuers. (If so he will activate it and drop it.

Tink encourages Beri on and then laments not having another force wall.

Garret twists down a passageway to avoid the cold blast hoping they end up near where the satryrs are.

Restlin throws up a wall of force and takes a look back to see who is targeting them. The entirety of Fae Skiemir is converging on the tower they just escaped from but Restlin manages to pick out a flying skeletal elf wearing purple robes and a small crown cackling with magical power. (Knowledge[Local] : 25 - Highlight to display spoiler: {Magisticasadan, the elven wizard lichlord}) The mythal starts making a racket as the spell goes off & Restlin realizes the Mystal has finally noticed all the spells flying. He then asks Sesha for some healing.

Sesha has a brief exchange with Restlin involving some inuendo involving the quickening rod that makes her blush and after that he is healed the Mystal letting her spells function as normal.

Restlin tosses the rod at Sesha telling her he is busy.

Zane gets missed by the exploded snow ball & then picks Mhalice up.

Beri thanks Tink for her help with the ball of light before dodging most of the ice ball.

(OOC: A group was a typo everyone is effected)
Bosk folds himself into the shadows to avoid the ice blast. He then considers tossing his boat or his anchor.

The group is currently outside the tower on the ground/flying along one of the ruined foot paths. The party still has a ways to go but the anchor, boat and force wall seem like they will buy you a little time. The mythal plays a trumpet crescendo and you get the feeling that the Mythal just fizzled the spell of the guy who had been attacking you from afar. You should have a few rounds of breathing room before you are bothered at least if you want to take other precautions or try new tactics.

Zane keeps his movement towards the area where the Satyrs are waiting to assist the group to escape this city of magic or is it anti-magic.... He flies a slight zig-zag so that the group is not completely bunched up.
"Mhalice, I may be able to evade a lot of this magic, but I really can't protect you the same way. Just letting you know if you get damaged by their magic spells."

Looks like the Mythal has started to pay attention to us again. I have stoneshape prepared if we want to try to add another layer of defense, but it may be wiser to just run as fast as our legs will take us. Just say the work, and I'll cast it, otherwise let's get out of here.

Beri will plan on running, but if the group wants him to cast the spell he will do so.

Garrett maintains his position at the head of the group keeping his eyes peeled for potential assailants.

Zane zigzags in the direction of the Satyrs and warns Mhalice of not being able to protect her from the ranged spells.

Beripoints out the Mythals reactions and offers to throw up a further barricade.

Tink has no intention of slowing down.

Restlin thinks sealing the exit would be a good idea but yields to Tink's plan.

Bosk advocates to keep running.

The spell slinger attempts to cast a spell targetting the forcewall hoping to overwhelm it as it is in the way of the heroes when the mythal starts playing staccato string notes. The ground at the base of the force wall erupts with bubbles.

However there is a new threat, Garret spots some rather large, rather fast Pteranodons breaking off from the main force at the tower and heading to cut off the group.

It looks like you have time to change your course and potentially avoid the pteranodons.

Mhalice quaffs a potion and heals for 25 hp as the spell functions normal.

Garret continues running and yells back to the group, pointing at the flying creatures, "Over there! They're going to head us off. Should we just run for it and hope, or does anyone think they can try and slow them down?"

"Low intellect, no ranged attacks..I have just the thing." He adds under his breath, "assuming the Mythal is behaving itself."

The wizard, still running away, pulls out a pair of dog statues. "Ok Sparky, ok Spot, keep those flying lizards away from us!"

Restlin casts repulsion on himself. If it works, anything trying to get within 130' of him needs to make a DC 25 will save or be unable to get any closer. This lasts 13 rounds.

The wizard also still has expeditious retreat cast on him. He should be able to cast his spell and keep pace with the party.

Zane carrying Mhalice checks to see if any of the smaller party members need a boost, he'll pick up them and carry them as well, staying near Restlin as he's asked because of the spell he's trying to cast. If it fails, He plans on double moves towards where their exit awaits. If the spell does work as planned, Zane will stay within close range of Restlin and move with him as they go.

You can do it Restlin!
Beri crosses his fingers that the spell will be a success, but plans on keeping pace with Zane should the spell succeed of fail. The important thing is to get out in one piece, and running seems to be the best chance of that right now.

Tink just keeps on moving! Not having stopped to cast any spells (yet) her little legs are moving as fast as they can.

Garrett points out they have monsters incoming trying to head them out.

Restlin seeing the creatures incoming pulls out a pair of dog statues and casts repulsion centered on himself creating a 130 foot bubble centered on himself.

Zane carrying Mhalice checks to see if anyone else needs a boost, keeping with Restlin and his protective bubble.

Sesha continues on worried about Mhalice and the closing enemies.

Beri glances back, keeping pace with Zane being happy his hope in Restlin was justified.

Bosk sends over the link a request for the party to remind him to get some range attacks when they get out of this.

Tink keeps moving the thought popping into her mind should they have bound Mhalice somehow.

Mhalice seeming to pick up on the party's distrust says to Zane "I just want to get out of here you strong taur, to that end it would serve my interest if you were more heroic. With your permission I'd like to try to cast greater heroism on you, I'd understand if you reject my offer." (OOC: Zane let me know if you want the spell)

As Restlin's spell was successful the party moves on in the race to escape Fae Skiemir. The 7 Pteranodons continue on their intercept course and when the group gets to the point where their paths would converge all 7 dinosaurs are held at bay by the abjuration.

Garret points to the chimera (perception: 47) and says, "I'll move and try and draw those new comers away!" In a blue flash, he takes off at great speed, yelling and jumping as he goes.

Garret has a move of 70 so I think he can move faster than anyone. He will also use a ki point to increase that by 20 so he can move 360 feet in one round. And for comparison, a "normal" person, with a move of 30 can run about 13.6 miles per hour. Garret is now moving at 41 mph. Yes, forty-one! He is hoping that by moving ahead, he can draw the attention of the incoming chimeras. By moving so fast, he is hoping to confuse them as they realize their vector is wrong and they won't head off Garret. He will make noise, jump, and even slow down if he needs to in order to draw their attention.

Bosk tries to figure out if anyone has a better idea and then suggests they all run as fast as they can.

Garrett takes off in a dead sprint trying to lead the chimeras away.

Zane gives permission for Mhalice to try her spell and he finds himself the benefactor of a greater heroism spell (+4 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks, immunity to fear effects, 18 hp)

Tink is on board with Bosk's plan.

Beri runs as fast as he can telling his friends this.

Restlin continues running.

The Chimera's buy into Garrett's distraction and they fly after him. Garret's speed is greater than theirs is and he is able to mislead them from the rest of the group.

Gliding under the rubble? Yup, there they are! Man I wish this form gave me tremorsense! Well, they aren't coming to help us, do we go around or head through? I'm not sure running around will do much, they will just meet us on the other side. About all I can cast safely is detect magic, but this close to the exit I'm willing to launch my most powerful spells and risk the consequences.

Beri will follow the others and will cast Detect Magic if nobody has a suggestion, but will launch anything Bosk or the others requests if they notice something he doesn't, or just want to damage the monsters in the rubble as much as possible before they get there

Time slows down as you approach the pile.

Tink tries to figure out if there is a way around the pile but it looks large enough that the only way around it is over, under or through. She points out the two large earth elementals.

Garrett sends over the link that he plans to do a fake out to lead the earth elementals away.

Sesha casts stoneskin on herself and lets Zane know she needs to be the one that guides Mhalice throw the mist when the time comes.

Beri casts detect magic and asks if they want to go around or power through.

Zane asks if the plan is to bull through or what.

Restlin suggests they all fly over the pile with him casting fly on Bosk.

Bosk accepts the fly spell and finds that he can now fly but that he is also the recipient of 10 electric damage from the spell as the Mythal plays a high shrill note.

I can cast greater dispell and try to take away their invisibility advantage. I would hate for it to backfire and cancel our spells, but assuming the plan is still to get out in the few seconds it maybe worth the risk. I also have faerie fire if we want to tag one of them, or cast sunbusrt and try to blind a few.

Tink points out the ambush to the group and slows down to let the muscle get ahead.

Garrett asks if anyone thinks the enemies can hit him and continues to take the lead hoping to draw fire.

Zane points out that with the tail they have they may not be able to go around.

Beri outlines he can use dispel magic, faerie fire or lightburst.

Restlin[b] shouts to go over as the party takes to the skies.

opts for not another light burst and takes to the skies.

Beri casts dispel magic on the group of invisible nagas. However the Mythal flares up making the sound of a loud harp and the invisible nagas all pass their saves.

Bosk cringes as he takes electrical damage and the follows the others.

As the fliers pass overhead 3 of the nagas unload with spells, the fourth made the effort but the Mythal makes a raspberry trombone sound as the spell fizzles.

6 Rays of fire streak towards the party and 1 hits Tink for 14 fire damage (24 vs 17)

The second hits Bosk for 15 fire damage (29 vs 17)

The third hits Zane for 16 fire damage (24 vs 18)

The fourth misses Mhalice with a natural 1

The fifth misses Zane and the sixth hits Beri for 15 fire damage (26 vs 18)

The earth elementals each get 2 attacks against the nimble halfling and Garrett easily avoids them. He takes off in a blur and the elementals can't keep up.

The party is away from the threats in the rubble and just has one last patch of land to cross before they reach the outer wall and can reach out to the Satyr allies.

A lone nightmare arrives on the scene joining the 3 chimeras, 7 pteranodons and the lich nipping at your heels.

Tink considers immobilizing the nagas with a reverse gravity spell. Since they can't fly after the party (and the mythal could react in some way) she decides to just leave them alone and concentrate on flying straight ahead.

Beri keeps moving, hoping that the satyrs are waiting for them. He doesn't like the prospects of trying to hold their ground against the group gathering behind them. Even at full strength this would be a tough fight, especially with the Mythal adding several layers of unpredictability to things.

Suddenly the flying minotaur finds himself awash in flame as the heat curves up and around his chest. He would be a giant blister if it weren't thanks to Tishe, but thanks to her weave elements spell the the effect is little more a mild discomfort. I think I am done on this side. Thank you. Tink says the place wouldn't be bad except for inhabitants and passses on a spell to keep going.

Restlin hopes the Satyrs are dependable.

Garrett heads for the wall.

Zane uses his body to shield Mhalice then continues on his way looking for the hole in the wall / Satyrs for the others.

Beri sends encouragement over the link as he isn't a fan of the ground being held nor the situation unfolding.

Bosk is thankful for the fire protection the weave elements spells conferred.

You see that the Satyrs did keep their word and they are waiting for you where they indicated. The mythal is going crazy with swirling color and random music and it will still take you some time to navigate through the breach while the Chimeras and Nightmare converge on your position. The repulsion spell holds and 2 of the Chimeras and the Nightmare being held by the Myst.

The redheaded dragon on this chimera that isn't being held unloads its breath weapon on the group. (DC 17 Reflex save or take 21 points fire damage; 10 points of fire damage on success)

The cleric keeps moving at top speed. Grab hands as we approach and move to the side. Don't wait until we are moving into it to latch on. Lets do this as fast as possible. Bosk does as he instructs, but will try to let the others go ahead of him and take up the rear...using himself as a living shield to protect the others if the entire group cannot get inside at once by moving to the side.

Restlin says he is being practical and prepares for departure.

Bosk dodges and cracks a joke while he keeps moving at top speed.

Mhalice dubiously takes Sesha's hand and says, "I hope you have universal solvent. I'll join your coven but I not sure if I want to hold your hand for all eternity."

You are linked in a chain with the Satyrs and they manage to pull you through the Mythal safely you notice that Lee and Lusi are there too.

However the Mythal continues to pulse w/ strange lights and sounds and you see cracks starting to form in the myst as the creatures must continue to swarm the barrier. Who knows if it can hold up to the weight of all the creatures pressing against it or what will happen if it gives out.

"Lets get out of here if that attracts them like I hope it will, it should have a strong aura for a few more hours, letting them have something to fight over, and then it'll just unravel into nothingness....."

Restlin asks if they are weakening the Mythal by penetrating it but based on his arcane knowledge he doesn't think they are causing it. He intends to press on as swiftly as possible.

Beri looks around at the chaos unfolding around them and tries to communicate their intentions to the barrier before asking if they have anything they could toss.

Garret pants, bites his tongue and looks back at the Mystal as Beri addresses it.

Tink opens her jaws but no words come out from it. She ponders if she weakened the Mystal by extracting Mhalice. She asks Palonius to escort Lee and Lusi to safety.

Garret says he isn't sure he can cover the entire mass but they could give it a shot.

Zane laughs when someone mentions throwing anything magical and heaves it back over the barrier as far as it will go.

Bosk follows Zane's lead and tosses his vest as far as it will go.

(OOC: sorry I couldn't wait for Sesha's post but I have a headache so I'm going to finish the post)

There doesn't have to be an immediate reaction to Zane's tossing of the woven element. The dome of Mystal continues to expand and pulse and play sounds and then....

There is a huge rending noise, It expands and then rapidly condenses imploding in on itself. In all the confusion a number of monsters are thrown free of the Mythal:

1 giant spider, 3 chimeras, 6 stompers, 2 behir, 3 nessian warhounds and 13 pteranodons are thrown free of the Mystal. The creatures were all knocked prone from the blast. And take the opportunity to pick themselves up seemingly a little dazed In the difference the Mythal still seems to be going crazy. Who knows if more monsters will be tossed free and when?

Garret just absolutely explodes into a mass of arms and legs. He is a blur as he moves towards the nearest massive monster that isn't affected by Tink, trying to quickly reduce their number. His feet and fists strike true again and again.

Restlin wants to go. The Wold's a big place and these monsters won't make a dent in it. Still, he knows Tink won't go, and he's not leaving her behind.

"Well...at least I know this should work properly now." He grips Shiny's hilt and telepathically commands it, "make me smart, Shiny." He then pulls out his maximize rod. He'd put off using it since who knows what would have happened if he'd tried it in there. "It's someone else's turn to haste. I've used the one I had for today," he says before smacking a glowing red ball of bat poop at the monsters.

Garret lays into the Stomper that resisted by using its foot to create wedge and he pretty much destroys the lone Stomper.

As soon as the storm appears it sends a lightning bold towards the spider's web, or should the spider itself be blocking the web it will instead attack he spider.

I have been wanting to fight one of these. I need some booths to go with my chimera skin jacket! As he say this he flips the collar on his black pea-coat sewn of chimera skin. The material is strangely soft and warm, thick enough that it conceals any weapons or armor underneath yet light enough to be cool to wear in the sun...but more importantly he loves how the end sweeps just above the floor as he walks making him look totally bad, but in a good way.

Sesha tells Mhalice to do her thing as she maneuvers the broom.

Garrett continues to fight against the chimeras becoming a blur of punches and kicks. He drops one of the chimeras and staggers another.

Tink casts ennervation targetting the spider and the ray hits weakening it.

Restlin casts resist energy of the fire type on himself and then takes to the sky.

Beri directs the lightning bolt at the giant spider and then lobs a sunburst at the attackers.

Zane uses an acid splash to weaken the spiders web and then draws his bow.

Bosk teams up with Garret to take on the chimeras.

Mhalice drops an acid ball at those caught up in the gravity vortex.

The giant spider reaches the ground and advances towards Garrett, Bosk and the Wyverns.

Safely hovering above the battle, Restlin decides to try out a new spell. He pulls Shiny from it's scabbard and grips its hilt with both hands. Concentrating, he pulls his hands apart, with a version of Shiny remaining in each hand. Letting go of the sword in his left hand, it streaks out towards the chimera Tink is trying to grapple and attacks.

Garret is in his element and doesn't even hear the others speaking. When the chimera tries to breathe on him, he jumps straight up in the air in a flash of blue (acrobatics w/ki: 78) over the acid breath (reflex: 25) and spins into a full attack of tiny fists of fury.

Bosk tries to take a 5ft step that will allow him to do some flanking (he has a 15ft reach) and begins another on onslaught against the creatures in front of him. You FOOLS!!! Tink casts telekinesis to grapple the Chimera and successfully ensnares it in her spell.

Restlin takes this time to try out a new spell but is so excited that his aim is thrown off.

Garrett demolishes the chimera before moving onto the Nessian warhound.

Beri starts channeling a spell into a summon as another lightning bolt slams into the spider (9 damage)

Sesha impatiently watches the battle as she directs the broom.

Zane becomes a huge flying minotaur set to use his body to shield his caster friends.

Bosk actually managed to avoid the bite by both his bolstered speed and resolve. Seeing as how the chimera is already dead Bosk lays into the nessian war hounds attacking him but the fire part of the attack doesn't work on them but most of the rest do however he misses a few hits but manages to knock it out.

The giant spider attempts to bite Bosk with its fanged maw but the minotaur is protected by his speed and heroics.

The nessian warhound also attempts to bite Bosk but it too misses.

The other nessian warhound attempts to bite Garrett but the halfling is just too nimble.

In the distance the Mythal makes a weird racket and a storm giant and 8 flying nightmares emerge from the holes in mystal.

Mhalice fires another acid ball this time aimed at nightmares and she aims it in such a way that 7 of the nightmares are caught in its spread and they all take 40 acid damage.

Another lightning bolt rains down on the spider that was attacking Bosk.

Beri finishes summoning a greater earth elemental and starts to summon a Brachiosaurus by channeling one of his heal spells.

The greater earth elemental looks around and sees the nightmares exiting the Mythal. He charges and performs an Awesome Blow to knock a nightmare back into the Mythal it emerged from... unless he can't reach in or the mythal doesn't look like it will hold the nightmare in for a while, in which case he will attack the nessian war hound that's the most injured, followed by the spider the lightning just fried, or whatever creature standing on the ground is withing reach.

Tink tells Restlin to ask Wardd for better luck & then attempts to grapple the unharmed nightmare. She succeeds.

Garret recommends closing the gap & then relaunches his own attacks hitting the hound 6 times.g

Restlin explains he is the luck God not good luck God before tossing a fire ball of his own at the nightmares. Five Nightmares take full damage and die, the other 2 get knocked unconscious.

Bosk focuses his attacks on the hellhound and hits 4 times.

Beri finishes summoning the earth elemental & then starts summoning a Brachiosaurus as another lightning bolt hits the spider.

The elemental attacks the Nessian warhound that is still standing and knocks it out and then attacks the spider.

Zane fires arrows at the storm giants in the distance and prepares to defend the casters.

One of his arrows hits the giant.

Sesha remarks that the battle will end badly and questions if a last stand is necessary. She lands her broom & dismounts, then casts resist energy[electricity] on herself.

Mhalice says "Can't we just head to the portal? Besides our gear there isn't much to draw the monsters outside. Besides do you really think Ma'ab will allow monsters to roam free?"

She then hurls 3 acid ray at the unscathed nightmare and hits with all 3.

The giant spider attacks Bosk with a bite but misses.

The last Nightmare charges Zane from the air but its jaws fail to penetrate the huge dragonish taurs armor.

The storm giant casts chain lightning targeting Bosk & then it spreads out and hits the entire party. (DC 18 reflex save or take 54 electricity damage ; 27 damage on successful save)

The mythal continues to make a racket in the distance. More monsters surely must be coming soon.

Restlin takes the full brunt of the chain lightning right in his face. He takes a moment, just a small one, to wonder if Tink's right, and if he's somehow upset Wardd. Things have not gone his way this combat.

Poral it is, let's go! But before I do, I'm going to do what I can to prevent us being followed, and to make life easier for my Queen.

Beri casts wall of stone around the mythal to prevent further enemies from escaping easily then dashes off with the rest.
Lightning strikes down on the spider once again.

As the lightning flies towards Bosk shadows enfold him and pull him into the ShadowLands (miss chance for concealment and darkwalk). Even through realms the cleric can feel his hair stand on end as the static resonates, but no harm is done.

The Avenger then collects his trophies, taking what he can. Full corpses if possible (especially the chimeras and anything he personally slayed), bits of hair, blood and tooth if not for the fallen if not (any dead within reach, especially those he slew).

(OOC: I did some research into concealment vs spells w/o attack rolls & from what I can tell even if you have concealment you are still effected b/c chain lightning is an auto-hit spell not a ray)

Bosk indicates that they can leave but he wants to take the Chimera with them.

Sesha manages to avoid the worst of the lightning and then laughs as the energy resistance dissipates the rest. Before joining with Mhalice to usher the rest towards the portal.

Tink maintains focus on the telekinesis spell and then heads towards the portal.

Restlin takes the brunt of the lightning & then wonders if Wardd really did forsake him before quaffing a potion and then moves in the direction of the portal.

Garrett steps aside from the lightning and then turns to attack the giant, notices his companions fleeing and then makes for the portal planning to cover the retreat.

Zane looks for any friends that need help before moving towards portal himself.

Beri agrees about heading towards the portal and then creates a stone barrier between the group and part of the Mystal. He then orders the elemental and the dinosaur to cover the team's retreat as another lightning bolt slams into the spider and Beri joins the retreat.

Bosk attempts to avoid the lightning by melding into the shadows but is unable to avoid it. He then starts collecting trophies. In his immediate vicinity are the 3 dead chimeras, the dead stomper, and the dead warhound. The barbequed pteranodons are a little further off. He then makes a break for the portal.

The group travels to the forest and between the wall, the summoned creatures and the distance the group put between themselves and the Mystal there does not appear to be anything else nipping at their heels. The group could take their time moving through the woods as nothing is going to attack the grizzled group emerging from fae skiemir or they could keep pressing through to the gate.

He also keeps moving as swiftly as practical. That stone wall ain't stopping a dragon.

We may want to cast a heal spell or two before moving on. We've got quite a bit of distance, and anyone moving fast enough to catch us isn't going to be moving quietly. And if they were on our heels we're better off them finding us healed and aware than them attacking us from behind as we flee... that said, there is no reason to delay much longer than that.

Should the group decide to stop for a minute Beri will return to humanoid form and cast changestaff.

Sesha places her hand on the Halfings head and affectionately tussles her hair, then channels healing magic through the fearless Justicar.

She frowns. The work wasn't quite done, so she pulses more healing magic.

Tink congratulates Beri on literally stone walling any monsters before suggesting they continue to the gate. She is looking pretty beat up.

Garrett takes up the position at rear guard and lets the group know they should be okay but they should keep moving.

Restlin notices that Tink is pretty beat up and then uses his holy symbol to cast a weak heal spell as a gesture.

Zane swoops down and asks if she wants a lift before proceeding towards the gate.

Beri advocates taking a breather and using the time to heal up before heading on there way in case something catches up to them. He then reverts to his normal form and casts changestaff.

Bosk channels positive energy to heal everyone including Mhalice after offering Sesha the opportunity to recover spell components from his trophies.

Sesha finishes healing Tink using her domain slots pointing out how beat up Tink looks.

The party is now healed and somewhat more prepared should anything sneak up behind them. They continue their way through the forest to the gate.

The rest of the journey is uneventful. If the lich, dragon or demon managed to escape the Mythal they did not head your way.

The party once again finds themselves before the broken archway they exited from when they first arrived in Fae Skiemir.

"Hold up." Mhalice says before the party steps foot through the portal, "We are about to exit in that pond. I for one do not want to drown but I don't know about the rest of you" The drowess says.

Tink isn't too worried about the swimming. With her Tishes Weave Elements water garment, she can breathe underwater and even has a swim speed (as do Restlin, Zane and Garret).

Zane casts Fly on himself, not sure his wings would work underwater. He knows Dragons seem to fly with their wings there, he's just not taking a chance.
"Um, Katinka, I tossed the vest as a distraction. It is woven of pure magic, I hoped it would draw off some of the chasers as they fought over it. Don't know if it worked or not, but I figured you can weave a new one tomorrow. I'll just hold my breath and fly magically straight up once we go through, Garret, need a lift since you tossed yours as well?"

No worries, I guess it's water elemental form for me.
Beri glances at his towering treant-staff.
I suppose you will have no issues with your height, as long as you can fit through... otherwise I'll dismiss the spell and carry you through as a staff.
Beri compares the portal size to his 24 foot tall friend and acts accordingly.
