I have memorized Water Walk as well, and also can choose some additional spells if I can take some time to pray. "

Jozhur shrugs, "Vanishing from town as the shipping guild takes over won't look good. I'm sure they will continue to spread rumors that we are conspiring with them. Things could be even worse when we return."

"Also, we don't know what are task will be after we reach Rum. What if we need the Lionfish after we get there? Is there room on this swan boat for our crew? They could be harmed if we leave them behind."

"If I can have a few minutes, I will try to divine Lord Gargul's will in this matter. Let's get to a safe place. Perhaps your house, or we could go to to the Temple of Rest."

For the DM: not sure where the Church of Gargul is here in Bonetown relative to our location. It's where I spent the last several years, so we should be welcome there.

Monday April 20th, 2015 12:52:10 PM

It does seem like a bad idea to leave the ship and crew here. Could that fog spell be extended to cover the entire port? It may be possible to sneak out. And Elstred looked like he knew exactly what he was doing. We don't need to stage a rescue, we need a kidnapping.

Dm Shawn - Fight or Flight?
Monday April 20th, 2015 3:39:46 PM

Coerator throws out the idea of rallying at the house, but Zeoll disagrees thinking they are best suited to set sail to rum. Even if they have to trek overland before sailing out. Knowledge Geography/Local DC 15 Highlight to display spoiler: { You would have to trek about 50 miles before being able to set sail if going overland.}

Rillet shares that he can cast waterwalk and a few other spells if given time to prepare, he even tells how he can ask Gargul for guidance if given a place to lay low.

Aexana still in thush form flies ahead to scout, she sees most of the people could care less. But here and there, some people are looking and pointing at the group, obviously iratated that allies of the shipping guild would be so brazen.

Jozhur adds to the discussion that leaving the town might appear bad in the eyes of the people, and not to mention what their mission will be when they reach Rum.

Magana sees the turmoil they will cause of they leave, and suggests delaying the trip.

Zeoll doesn't want a god mad at them, but says he will go along with the group.

Terser thinks about obscuring the harbor with the fog spell and escaping. Not to mention possibly kidnapping the Guild Leader, who he saw doesn't need any help.
-----------------------------------
As the time is progressing into the midday the streets are becoming more and more crowded. Some people openly walk by and sneer at the group while others don't even notice the local legends.

Whispers of conversation can be heard by all, noting how the guild has a full blockade set up and is not messing around. Some captains talk about the immense firepower the guild has.

"We really need to decide" Lew says to the group. "My neck is being risked out here as much as yours."

Rillett will lead the group to an older part of town, down a once grand promenade that is now choked with poorly constructed shantys. At the end of the street large wooden building looms, perched over the shantys like a great, protective bear. The poorer folk of Bonetown shuffle about their business, taking little notice of the party.

Rillett leads them up to great front doors, beneath a sign that reads "Temple of Rest" with Gargul's symbol beneath. He then turns aside down a short alley to a much smaller, much less grand entry where a sign reads "Gargul's blessing on all who seek life, and those that have passed beyond life."

As he open the door, he surprises an old man in the small make-shift entry to the church. "Oh, master Rillett. Good to see you back." He looks at the rest of the group, and mutters, "Ugh, the friends of the Shipping Guild. Well, everyone needs Gargul's help now and then. Come in, come in."

Rillett greets him, makes brief introductions, and says that he needs a quiet place for he and his friends. Rillett leads the group through what was once a great hall, and the massive front doors can be seen in the distance. The place is clean, but decrepit. Boxes stacked near the doors suggest they are little used. He leads them down a hall way to a series of rooms that has seen recent use. There are tables and chairs here, with many doors. The old man they saw before brings in some bread, cheese, and watered wine. He leaves as quietly as he came.

Rillett takes out some incense and begins to pray. He will ask Gargul, "Should we delay our trip to Rum, as required by Gargul, to first deal with issues related to the Shipping Guild's recent activities in Bonetown."

ooc: This is a Divination spell. Rillett has a 78% chance of success. After I rolled, I seem to recall that the DM generally rolls this - feel free to use my roll or make your own as best suits you for the plot. The result of the spell is "a useful piece of advice in reply to a question concerning a specific goal, event, or activity that is to occur within 1 week."

Terser watches the process of Rillett communing with his God with great interest. Studying others in their communion may teach him how better to access his own deities, though it may be done with less ceremony. Maybe some sort of incense to help him reach a meditative state. Or a drink - that would be more in keeping with tradition.

He resists the urge to correct the old priest on his assessment of the Lionfish crew as being friends of the shipping guild. This would be better coming from the mouth of one he's known for years and trusts.

Once the spell is cast, Rillett will indeed correct the old man. He will clarify that this group was betrayed by the Shipping Guild like the rest of the town, and that we seek Gargul's guidance in the matter. He will also ask the man if his mentor Yaas Farril (Gargul's high priest) is in. Perhaps he has some advice as well.

It is agreed upon to head to the Shrine of Gargul for some guidance in the situation. The misty morning and crowded streets both die away as the group heads deeper into the city, and to a more rundown portion of town.

The big building, isn't a church but an abandoned warehouse that was never finished being built. Portions of the roof don't exist do to no more money or even lack of interest in the building. Homeless dregs lay about on the streets running up to the shrine. A small door on the side is the only servicable entrance.

As Rillet open the door, he surprises an old man in the small make-shift entry to the shrine.

Rillett leads the group through the building. Some of the luckier homeless are asleep in different areas of some of the rooms. IN other puddles collect where the rain falls through.

Rillet settles in, as the others watch in anticipation.... "Should we delay our trip to Rum, as required by Gargul, to first deal with issues related to the Shipping Guild's recent activities in Bonetown."

The incense begins to burn brighter, as more smoke fills the room...

Magana (Craig) [HP 92 of 92] [DR 1/-]

Magana is clearly shocked that a temple of Gargul could be so shabby. She gently stops the old man after he delivers the food, and speaks quietly to him.

"I did not know this holy place existed in Bonetown and would like to help restore it. Please ask the head priest if he will speak to me about a sizable donation."

Still full from breakfast, Coer takes a portion of the food and distributes it to the homeless in the temple, allowing the ceremony to continue without his presence.

once the smoke settles he returns. "Well... do we stay, or do we go?"

Rillett (Bradley) HP 69/69 - AC 22/12/20 CMD 19
Wednesday April 22nd, 2015 2:51:30 AM

Rillett shakes he head at the answer to his question.

He'll relate it to the others, "I asked if we should delay the trip to Rum to deal with the Shipping Guild, and the answer is, 'It is less you should delay the trip then you have no way to continue the trip without much suffering.' It's not exactly the clarity we were looking for, but it seems that if we stay it will be trouble, and if we go it will be double."

"The question is, what do we do next? What steps should we take to avert this suffering? An attack on the Shipping Guild will play well with the public, but we will likely just end up killing their guards and minor functionaries. I cannot support an untimely death for all those people without a good reason. We saw that Elstread had an escape plan from their board room. No doubt they have an escape plan form their headquarters as well."

Rillett will open the door and call for someone named Turin. The old man answers the call. "Turin, in Yaas Farril here? Perhaps the High Priest has hears something about the Shipping Guild and their plans. One hears a lot of interesting things when you spend your time healing those that most ignore."

Coerator heads back to the other rooms and hands out some of his food. the people are happy to accept, and when Jozhur comes around looking for clothes they are more then happy to help. Donations of scraggly shirts and dirty pants, a rat chewed cloak and even a poofy, tri corner hat.

While the discussion goes on, it is noticeable that Lew Is becoming nervous.

The liontaur outlines some ideas that may serve to defeat the guild. Here they are summarized ...

1) Gather info. Talk to people in town. Find out names, classes, powers of the top Guild leadership. Find out the names and crew of ships being used to enforce the blockade. Our friend the Guild turncoat will help a lot here.

2) Make a secret base, either outside town or ... where?

3) Attack their ships in clever ways.
(a) Walk on water at night to ships and then warp wood and attack the hull with admantine weapons.
(b) Use Water Breathe and wildshape and summoned creatures to attack ships from underwater.
(c) Call lightning on ships.

4) Raid the headquarters, kill Guild staff, retreat.

5) Use stealth -- steal Guild property, kidnap Guild staff.

Jozhur uses Zeolls help to finish off the disguise, and also palm a weapon. He intends to scout around town and gauge the reputation of the party.

Terser likes Zeoll's idea of attacking the ships. His gloves took out golems, what would a ship do?

Aexana flies above the temple, and is provided a nice view of the entire city. She sees no enemies advancing.

Jozhur makes his way into the city, disguised to not look like himself. It doesn't take long before he sees a couple of old ladies, while beating the dust out of a rug, talking about the lionfish crew allying with the shipping guild.

Inside the temple, neither Zeoll or Rillet detect any magic on Engev.

The man smiles before adding " 3 Taurs, a gnome and a dwarf aren't too easy to hide in this town. Zeoll, to answer the question, I didn't see any powers displayed by the man oozed confidence. He doesn't appear to be a member of the guild, and looks more like a townsperson to me."

"Captain Coer, he asked for the group."

Magana and Turin both head to the door to watch. Neither see any enemies.

Seeing that Brother Engev was not followed, Magana returns to the center of the discussion, an open look of irritation on her face.

"Brother Engev confirms my suspicion that this attack was not an ambush set up by the Shipping Guild," she says. Her tone of voice is condescending, and she speaks slowly as if to children.

"It looked to me like Elstred was being held under duress. Perhaps the whole blockade was not even his doing. He could be being coerced by another actor in Bonetown. I believe the answer lies back at the Shipping Guild headquarters. I propose we sneak back under cover of darkness and uncover the truth. What say you all?"

Magana strokes the shaft of her flail absently, not even realizing she is doing so.

Zeoll casts Detect Magic again, scanning the entire room and Brother Engev. "Brrotherr? Can you rretuerrn to this perrson, get his name, and ask him to meet with us tomorrrow?"

Zeoll sighs. "We need to make some decisions. Firrst, we have two scouts out. We need to wait forr them to rreturrn. Then we need a courrse of action. Magana suggests waiting for nightfall, then sneaking into the Shipping Guild HQ. That idea has merrit. I suggest that we wait forr ourr scouts to rreturrn -- and we should discuss the plan while we wait."

Zeoll leads the discussion, but engages Magana often. What are the vulnerable points of entry? [OOC: DMs, since we have been there, can we get a map? List of exits/entrances? Windows? Rooftop?] Where is the best place to sneak in? Can the party take the time for a trip to the catacombs for Elixers of Sneakery and Potions of Invisibility?

Secretly, Zeoll is a little confused by Magana's attitude toward Elstred. Why does she think Elstred was coerced? Why does she think some other Bonetown power is influencing the Guild behind the scenes? Zeoll remembers that the enemy cast at least one unknown spell during the fight. What if it was some mental control? What if it affected Magana?

Based on these fears, Zeoll listens to Magana even more closely. He tries to detect the signs of mental control or influence. He engages Magana in conversation (see above) ... AND he takes 20 on his Sense Motive check. That's a Sense Motive of 29.

Also note Zeoll's Detect Magic at the top of this post. Any magic of the enchantment variety on Magana?

Rillett wonders what the deal is with this bloodthirsty bovo sapien. All Magana want's to do is attack the guild headquarters and "rescue" the jerk that seems to have gotten us into this mess.

"Magana, I don't really understand what you hope to gain with a direct attack on the Shipping Guild headquarters. It's one thing to kill their sorcerers and guards in self-defense. But if we attack their stronghold, they will simply send those poor souls to be slaughtered by us, and then point at us as the aggressors. Wanton slaughter is not appropriate behavior for an Eye of Gargul."

"And why do you care about that jerk Elstred? Can you help me understand why you think he's doing this against his will? He deceived us, distracted us and seems to mean us great harm. If he were being forced to do this, there are a number of ways to get word to us otherwise."

Rillett is trying to push the Elstread issue to see where Magana's loyalties lie relative to the man. Taking 20 on sense motive (thanks for the reminder Cayzle) will give me a sense motive of 34.

"As for the confidence-oozing visitor you your house, what do you think of asking him to come here? Brother Engev has already pointed out that everyone seems to know we are here. This man has openly approached your house, which is likely being watched, so that's no secret. Having him come here cannot pose a greater threat to this lowly house of worship than already exists. Besides, the Shipping Guild has enough on their plate. I don't imagine they want to add a religious war to the mix, not to mention the ramifications of killing followers of the Lord of Life and Death."

"He could have just left the room at that point if attack was his plan. Then he was snatched from our midst by magical means before we were attacked. Clearly his captor had decided we weren't going to cooperate and pulled Elstred, their puppet, out from danger."

"Now a townsperson arrives at our home. Brother Engev says he is not associated with the Shipping Guild, so what other reason would he have to come to us except to enlist our help against them? We already know all of Bonetown hate the guild, so rather than waste time talking to him, we should just attack! We already know the ones who attacked us in the Guild house are there. What is talking to this stranger going to accomplish except give the Guild more time to fortify their defenses? Attack I say! Attaaaaack!"

Magana again thinks Elstred had nothing to do with the ambush at the guild hall. She lays out what she saw in her opinion. (Only thing to change is Elstred didn't disappear due to magic, but a trap door that dropped below his chair.)

Zeoll casts his spell, and nothing that isn't part of the group shows as magical. Brother Engev radiates nothing, nor does Magana besides her items. He asks Engev to return, and the group is taken back when Brother Engev sharply says "No... this man specifically asked for the lionfish group. He came and knocked on the door, and asked for you. No weapons drawn, no magic used. He knocked and he asked to speak with you. I am not running back and asking him to come back tomorrow, because frankly he is a bit frightening. This is your issue, and the man came with no pretense of fighting, he came to talk."

Zeoll knows there are two entrances to the shrine. the side door they came in on, and the main door. Every room has windows, and part of the roof is missing over some of the rooms.
Map

Aexana, satisfied no enemies are around, flies back to the group to listen to the discussion.

Rillet questions Magana on why she thinks what she thinks. He too doesn't think an attack on the guild headquarters is a wise decision. Him and Zeoll both are getting no deception from Magana, and she appears to just be speaking her mind on the issue.

Captain Coer agrees that the issue shouldn't be brought to the headquarters in a fight. He doesn't want any more none needed bloodshed.
--------------------
Outside in the city, Jozhur chats with the woman. he can see in her eyes she is actually listening to the disguised rogue. "Really sir? You sound like you know what your talking about." She turns to her friend. "Maybe we were wrong about them. Maybe they aren't bad."

Jozhur moves deeper into town, finally resting on a tavern that is known to cater to the seedier side of life. Inside, the ale and booze flow, and the talk is flowing as quickly as the booze. Jozhur can see some of the captains of some of the ships, some brooding amongst their booze. He can also see some of the towns guard, engaged in a game of cards that seems more to kill time, and get drunk, then it is to win any money. "

------------------------------------------

Lew clears his throat, as the discussion gets a little heated. " I can tell you that the man who came to your house is not a guild member, that is not the guilds way of doing things. I wouldn't trust Elstred, Magana. Rumors are his family is tied up in many shady deals, and less then reputable trades. No one knows the exacts of it, but he isn't the most trustworthy man in my eyes. I've been out enough, and need to get back into hiding. It is time we split up, because me walking around the town with the group will blow any hiding I can do. I appreciate everything you all did for me, but as I said this is where we part." Lew says his goodbyes before heading out.

If we really want to get the scoop on what's going on in there, perhaps one of us could apply to be the new head cook, since we seem to have dispatched with theirs.

Terser agrees with Zeoll and Rillett. How could Magana's perceptions of Elstred's actions be so different than everyone else's?

We were ambushed at our house and at the Guild Headquarters with no one held responsible. Let us just go back to the house and get ambushed again. At least that might give me someone to squeeze answers out of."

The lack of a clear target for her to vent her anger on seems to be making Magana a bit surly.

"Magana, it is interesting that you say that Gargul favors neither good. While Gargul's writings suggest he favors neither side, his actions clearly put him on the side of good. By it's very nature, evil seeks to deceive and destroy for it's own benefit. Good on the other hand favors truth and progress for the betterment of others. What can be more progressive than the creation and preservation of life? And surely death is the ultimate truth, cutting though all pretense and deception in the end."

"As for those that may think they serve no one, all will face the Lord of Life and Death one day. Even the great Bard Dylan said, 'You're gonna have to serve somebody'. Why not choose the Gargul then, since he represents the ultimate truth."

He seeks balance. If he seems to be doing good works at this time, it is in the pursuit of that balance, not some innate quality that he posesses. Do not deceive yourself Rillett. Back at the inn... the men look at Jozhur for a brief second before exploding in laughter.

"Look at this bloke" the one says as he punches his friend in the shoulder. " He thinks he puts on some of his mommies makeup and thinks we wouldn't notice a member of the Lionfish ship?"

Their laughter quickly dies down, as they all take on a somber look. "This bar is for those loyal to Bonetown, and not some traitors."

The entire bar quiets down, and the city guards move a little closer. Hands on their hilts not sure if a fight is about to erupt.

Outside, Aexana can see through the window that all eyes and heads have turned to look at Jozhur.

He moves into the room and takes a seat across the table from the hooded man, staring him down as he does so. Seated, he pours himself a glass of wine.

Jozhur stands up, jumps onto a table, and addresses the entire tavern.

"Well I guess I have everyone's attention. I am Jozhur, of the Lionfish. I have set out tonight to begin rallying the town against the Shipping Guild, they have no business coming here and blockading our port.

We did meet with the guild earlier today. We refused to go along with their plans and they attacked us. We have their blood on our blades, but they were far too many for us to stand and fight.

I assure you, our loyalties lie with Bonetown. We want the Shipping Guild and their traitorous leader, Elstred, out of Bonetown. We are willing to shed blood for this, but if it comes to a fight, we may need the whole town to fight along side.

I know these are just words, and you may not believe me. I'm willing to prove where our loyalties lie, right now if you want."

But, I do wear a headband and it benefits my spell casting, so it is unlikely I would use your device. I see that you and Magana have clerical abilities, and I know about the Druid. Are there any other spell casters in this group?"

As they walk through town, Rillett will also continue to debate the nature of good and evil with Magana.

Reaching the house, he can see that they come from a brightly lit street to a darkened room with an even darker stranger, putting them at a disadvantage relative to the man. Rillett has little patience for those that dwell in darkness anyway. As they enter, he will draw a ring hung on a leather cord from his pocket. The ring shines brightly [continual flame] and lights up the room, dispelling the darkness and pushing back the shadows. As the light pushes into this man's shadowed cloak, what does he see?

Not In Vain [CDM Jerry]
Thursday April 30th, 2015 10:26:29 PM

Rillett's continual flame has no effect on the darkness surrounding the stranger. It must be powerful indeed. It does show the boundaries of the darkness surrounding the figure momentarily and then the light fades ending up with the power of something similar to a torch's brightness.

He stares at Coerator across the table and then at Magana. He ponders his response seeming to change his mind more than once. "You and your friends intimidate well. I am not sure that is a good thing." There is a slight pausing over the word "good."

He pauses again. Then he chuckles and that genuine laugh seems to lighten the tense mood in the room somewhat. "My you have had a difficult day." Please accept my apologies. I think I have taken advantage of you. I am known as Jack. That is not my real name, but when you join the Pirates of Jack, and accept a leadership position, your previous name is erased from your memory. So Jack will suffice. My title is the Jack of Diamonds. I am told that I have held this position three times.

"At this point in time, I am the official spokesperson for the POJ. I did not intend on doing this, but I see there is some trust to be earned this day. I will remove my cloak and hood. I admit that this is unfortunate as I will likely be put on the shelf for time and a day until they are assured that I have not risked the POJ entirely by breaking protocol. However, I believe I have no choice if I am to complete my mission here.

"Please forgive as the sight is not pleasant."

He stands. A tall lean figure, well over six feet, and begins to unbuckle his cloak slowly. Underneath is some sort of Dragonhide Plate adorned with diamonds. A sword is buckled to his left side. The scabbard seems transparent, showing the sword that looks like a living flame underneath. A Holy symbol of a small gavel is on a chain around his neck. It glows as well with flames.

However, these things are not what catches your attention. His right hand is made of adamantite and is connected physically to his arm with a strap. His face is scarred and has been burned badly. One eye is missing and has been replaced by a glowing diamond. His left ear has been torn in half and the other ear is missing. However, two glowing red earrings hang from where the ear lobes would have been if the ears had been complete. He has a black beard braided in dwarven fashion, though he is definitely human. He is of middle age, looking about 50 years old.

His teeth are exceptionally white as he sits smiling with the right side of his mouth and sits, making no threatening moves. Then as if an afterthought, he reaches with his left hand and peacebonds his sword.

"I was tortured by the High Priest of Ga'al for an extended period of time. They tell me it was likely two years. I was rescued at the point of death by the Emerald Dragons before my heardseeding was complete. Their laying waste to the primary temple of Ga'al was the salvation of my people and the people of Aisildur."

He removes his breastplate with a command in Tauric and opens the cloth underneath to show the scar where the evil plant had dug into his chest over his heart.

"I have had an....interesting life. It has been spent fighting Ga'al in every way possible for longer than I can remember...thanks to several memory wipes for security purposes. I simply knew too much and Ga'al's forces wanted what I used to know VERY badly. They were...diligent....in their efforts to obtain it.

"It is this lifelong quest to foil Ga'al at every turn that brings me to you."

He pauses as if he hasn't talked this long in ages and finishes his wine.

"But first I should answer your other inquiries. I have answered Coerator's question....yes I know your names. How could I not?"

"Magana, what have I demanded of you this day? I have asked no questions as of yet. Please sit and drink. I think you have earned it this day. As for your offer of "playtime," I sincerely hope it does not come to that or my mission will have failed." He pulls out one of the other chairs and offers it to the minotaur barbarian.

Reaching for his haversack, he says, "Blue Wine," again in Tauric. The neck of a bottle appears at the lip. He removes it. "I came prepared as you can see. This is important."

He turns to Zeoll. "I suspect we are on the same side as well. If we are not, then I have acquired new enemies for my people."

"Terser, I am glad there are no heartseeds among you, though I doubt there would be. They are somewhat rare these days above the seas.

"Adventurers, I have not come to battle, but to talk and talk of important matters. I hope my....efforts....are not in vain."

Showing Some Patience [CDM Jerry]
Sunday May 3rd, 2015 9:26:26 PM

Showing some patience, he turns to Magana.

"Magana, that is because it was given to me by the Head of Imod in thanks for winning the Kayleb over a traitor who was seeking to overthrow the members of the Head. I had fortunate help from The Chosen. I mourn yearly on the day when the Heart was split in two. The Pirates of Jack have been allies of the Minotaurs and their mighty vessels for centuries.

Please feel free to check out my credentials with the Head if you wish. However, to appease your sensibilities, we will celebrate this meeting with Purple Wine instead. I am sad that you have refused my offer to make this a holy occasion. He puts the Blue Wine back his Haversack and says, "Purple Wine," in Tauric. He pushes the bottle to Magana, "I leave the honor of the opening to you, minotaur."

I also highly suggest that you do not use threatening tactics or intimidation with me. They will not work. I have been through too much, sir. I will not fight you as I wish you good fortune and good health. I would see my mission here fail before I would fight you.

Rillet, I am here for several reasons. First, to determine that you have not fallen under the sway of Billopl or Ga'al his manipulator.

Second, to tell you where your allies are in the conflict to come. You can trust the Harbormaster. There is more to him than you suspect. He watches. Become his ally and prove yourself to him. He knows more about how to defend the town and rally the people than perhaps any other person alive at this time. He has connections that extend far across the waves. Connections you will need.

Also, I have just come from the High Priest of Gargul in Rum. He yearns for you to go see him. If you value Bonetown and if those of you who follow Gargul are serious about your faith, take the time to go see him soon.

You cannot stop the Shipping Guild or Billopl on your own. Either are too powerful for differing reasons and both descend upon you like a plague. They number in the 100s and can call upon their entire trading fleet full of warriors and mages. Now is the time to gather the town to a common enemy!

- If you are successful in driving the Shipping Guild away, then consider ways of ensuring this does not happen again. Perhaps drawing more support for the Harbormaster and his men? This would hopefully allow Bonetown to become more secure from invaders. And with a stronger armed force, perhaps Pirates of Jack would be able to safely show their faces around Bonetown; the town they initially helped establish.

--Finally, I give you this warning: - Something darker than the Shipping Guild has its eyes on Bonetown. PoJ seers are foreseeing Billoopl making an attempt to destroy Bonetown. Should Bonetown fall, the Shipping Guild will have the most ships in the area, and who knows where their allegiance lies. The time will come where Bonetown, the party, the Pirates of Jack, and any other freedom lovin' sailor will have to stand against Billoopl.

Therein is the entire problem. We've been trying to get to Rum, but the blockade is keeping us from being able to ship out. The high priest will just have to wait until we find a different way out or can deal with the situation here. Going to the harbormaster seems wise though.

After some consideration, he adds:

We don't want to chase out the Shipping Guild though. We just need a change in leadership. If Billoopl has set his sights on Bonetown, the Shipping Guild's forces would be most valuable in defending against him. What we really need is to get Terza back somehow.
