As the others arrive at the field, Carver returns the targets to their upright positions and grabs a drink of water from the well bucket, after he dumps a bucket over himself to cool off. He then will gather up with them and see what's going on.....

The group has gathered at the training grounds after 10 days of recuperation, recovery, shopping, and repairing. Several of the heroes have visited the Hall of Gods, the Quartermaster, the Last Assignment, and have been a familiar sight out on the training grounds.
It is amazing coincidence that everyone is gathered on the edge of the training grounds at the same time!
As the Double Fist knows, the Training Grounds are many fields, salles, and arenas where recruits train. Our heroes just happen to be in one of the wide open areas that worked well for Carver practicing his jousting. Over at the far side, there are some raw recruits going through basic sword instruction. (Perception Dc10 due to distance (Highlight to display spoiler: {so raw they still have only wooden swords.}) Through the Training Gate is coming a caravan of Mailed Fist with wooden enclosed waggons. And walking across the training field is the familiar forms of Sergeant Trimmack and Sergeant Helmbane with another sergeant. He is a tall man, scarred forearms but toned and looks very skilled. Each of the heroes who took advance combat training (ooc: anyone who had fighter, ranger, barbarian, paladin classes at 1st level) recognizes the man immediately as one of your old primary instructors!
"These are your troopers, eh? Fine, fine. I am Sandor, Second to the Armsmaster and in charge of training. Your sergeants tell me you have some non-standard tactics that match your non-standard look. And some ability and spare time as well, eh? Fine, fine. Between your assignments, you will work with me, training the young uns. How does that sound?"

Nikolai laughs along with Mookie. "All right, I'll try to teach you nimbleness," he replies.
He then goes through a routine of stretches. "You need to be able to limber up your muscles." He is about to start into a routine of quick reflex movements when his Fist mates begin to congregate.
"Hmmm... we have an audience, it seems." However their sergeants show up with another.
'Training young ones?' Nikolai's stomach feels hollow. However, three years of training taught him the answer. Standing at attention, he shouts back "Sounds great! Sir!"

Cameron smiles, dozens of scenarios they were not trained for but have already encountered in the real world dancing through his head. " Very good sir. We already ran into some things we never prepared for here in the citadel. I think we can come up with some things that will challenge your recruits and make better shield brothers out of them. And that is something that can benefit the Fist as a whole. Even a little pinky like me can come in handy in the proper place when they know what to do. Some of them will require a bit of costuming to have full effect on the recruits. I am sure the Quartermaster can help with that." Cameron rubs his hands together, anxious to get started.
Among the scenarios he can think of... Late night camp security, both from undead and living invaders The reverse of the last scenario, infiltrating enemy camps Knowing when to fight and when to talk ala the Pantheonites they encountered clearing a hostile village, street to street and even house to house

The cleric is happy he has no real combat knowledge. Linden would hate to think that some young recruits would dislike him like he disliked some of his instructors. He stays in the background, trying very hard not to say anything.

In a flash, he remembers a thing he thought of in a dream, and he dashes off like a mad fiend!
"I'll be right back after I get some stuff!" he calls over his shoulder.

Carver just shakes his head as Bliss runs off, having not gotten permission...... But then again, the kid is just still a kid.... Carver then lets out a short laugh.Here he is calling him a kid, when he himself is not much older, just a whole lot larger.....
